Nice little heater for small area . Heats from top may get hot. No noise. Controls are funky.
Nice style, light weight and gives immediate heat from the top of unit without any noise and no fan.The heat comes out of the top without a fan. Since heat rises, In a well insulated room this would be ok to warm the entire room or if you do not need the heat blowing across the floor this is a good heater.Like with any electric heater , Babies, toddlers or pets might be of concern of them touching the top when on high so they probably should be watched.I'm using this in an 10x10 room for a recovering pet and will probably build a simple wire cage around the heater so the cat doesn't hop on top of the heater and get hot paws.CONTROL ISSUES- Power light stays on when plugged in and turned ON or OFF and the TEMP dial is above the midway point but when temp dial is put to low the power light stays OFF when turned ON or OFF. (see pictures) I assume heater is continuous heat and does not turn off when a certain temperature is reached in the room because there is no indication as to what temperature it is. I just received this heater and I am happy with it for my use but just not sure why controls operate the way they do. The ON, OFF switch doesn't turn the power light on and off if it is plugged in and also why the High to Low temp dial doesn't just have a High-Med -Low settings if this is supposed to be 3 different wattage settings as advertised. There is no indication on the dial when the stated wattage levels advertised are being used or are reached. The tea pot in the picture is just there to give an idea of size. overall I like the heater so far and regardless of the type of heater or who makes it, electric space heaters are expensive to operate. 12 hours per day use for a month will cost $45.00 and I am in a lower cost electric state so double that in high cost electric areas.
