I use this masher to make guacamole. It smashes the avocados nice and small so it blends better with the other ingredients.

This is an excellent quality, sharp, sturdy, professional item. Be aware that it is very small. You won't mash potatoes for a table of 4 or more with this, but for some more rare ingredients, or for baby sizes, this is what's needed.

I haven’t used it yet. The head seems rather small. I am hopeful that it works well.

I wanted something better to mash my avocados because I was getting so exhausted and frustrated using a fork. I wanted something that would transfer my efforts straight down into the avocado so I could mash directly into the bottom of the bowl instead of along the sides like you do with a fork. This does an absolutely perfect job. It mashes the avocados really good, all the way down to the bottom, and in just a few strokes you're ready to put those avocados on toast or mix them into a nice guacamole. It feels so much stronger and more powerful than a fork. It's small enough to mash avocados in a regular cereal bowl. Potato mashers are too big for that. I'm a just a single person who is always doing small servings. It's perfect for me. I will post an update once I have mashed something other than avocados. UPDATE 2/15/24: I mashed some bananas and it worked great.

I checked out several from different vendors, both here on Amazon, and elsewhere looking for an avocado masher (or mini-masher), and this one was both more economical, and looked sharper than other options. I use this to mash avocados with for avocado toast, every morning. If you eat a lot of avocados, it is great. It's stainless steel, solid as it gets. Well designed, and looks sharp.
