There are advantages to a rod of this length if you are on a boat. The extended length allows for being able to go over and around any obstacle with a fish on the line. Examples would be other anglers, anchor etc. The rod also allows for a smaller reel and not one geared toward large fish only. if partnered with a reel designed for long casts you can extend your reach with this rod. The rod would not in my opinion be best for small lure use and quick setting of a lure. I own 4 of these rods.

Great for throwing small live baits

Haven't used it yet. But good fishing partners swear by it. Looking forward to using it.

Only use it less than 5 times. It was broke down by around 2 lbs fish !!! Ridiculous quality.

Good rod for the price. Works well for casting and drift fishing I have found. Handles large fish like striper and salmon very well.

Nice product, but it came in a plastic! Could not afford a cover?

I was surprised at how well balanced and how light it really is. No issues with shipping. No damage or missing parts. I guess I am just lucky that way.

Preforms well nice for trolling .handle a little to long for casting
