Purchased the 20 lb line in sea blue. I bought it to outfit my survival kit, needed a strong but thin line for fishing and sewing.Testing on my part shows the line falls short of the claimed breaking strength, and appeared to varied a lot. Breaking force was measured with a mechanical luggage hook scale.With a hangman's knot, the line breaks at between 9-13 pounds of force on the line or knot on the lines tested. With a Palomar knot, the line held at the knot, but broke on the line between 11 to 16 pounds of force.Measuring with my digital vernier caliper, the thickness of the line is between 0.009-0.011 inches (0.20-0.35 mm).Rubbing the line on a piece of wood doesn't seem to wear away the colour, so it does seem to be colourfast as claimed.For practical purposes, I will treat this as a 10 pound line. For $22 CAD with shipping for 150 yards, it's slightly cheaper than Power Pro braided from Canadian Tire, so might still be worth getting - though it might be slightly thicker. I got it for the colour, and Reaction Tackle carries a good variety outside the usual dark green or neon yellow for braided line.Just be aware you might be getting something weaker than the strength specified. For fishing, I suggest you use a good knot like Palomar when tying hooks, or you might see the line breaking a lot at the knots.

Reaction Tackle Braid is quality fishing line at a most economical price point than many other brands. I've been using various strengths and colours (10lb - 50lb) on all my 8 fishing rods for over a year and it has never failed me once. Whether trolling or casting for salmon or walleye in fresh water sand, rocks or weeds this braid is strong and holds up to any condition. As a 4 strand braid, it doesn't tangle, has no memory, abrasive resistance, easy to cast and has many colours to choose from. Highly recommended and hope the Reaction people can always keep it at a competitive and economical price point.

Ordered line due to several positive reviews many with buyers conducting some strength tests yielding good results. Products appear to be up to par with name brands but cut the over inflated price. I Received my product on time, with no complaints. Did some pull tests against some other lines at the same grade or higher line and found it to hold up just fine. No practical, or solid tests have been done. Found little memory when spooling my real but have only did one so far. Will update when further tested. It's a great start when companies provide products at an honest price point as to over in-inflating costs for the extra buck because they can.

Bought the 8 lbs test and it breaks like a 4 pound. Lost many fish and lures before realizing this braid wasn't 8 lbs test in reality!! Don't buy or buy larger diameter ( where you loose the advantage of the thinness of braided line).

I have not used this product yet, but I examined it (carefully) beforehand, I liked the quality, when winding, the coloring does not remain on the fingers. On the fishing reel, the thread lies flat. I like it!
