Kensington SafeDome Cable Lock for iMac 24 inch 2021 (K68995WW)

WARNING: This item is NOT compatible with the current iMac 24" 2024 desktop computer despite the ad saying this is designed for the "new iMac 24". The iMac power supply plug that plugs into the back of the iMac screen hits the small metal Kensington piece that fits into the small oval hole on the iMac stand. This prevents you from tilting and viewing your monitor in the proper vertical upright position. Prior to purchase, I tried emailing Kensington 2x to inquire if this item was compatible or not and they were of no help at all. I had been using a Kensington SafeDome Cable Lock in the past for a 2017 iMac (which has a round hole in the stand) and it worked great. However, Kensington (or Apple) needs to develop one that is compatible with the new 2024 iMac (small oval hole in the stand) that does not obstruct the screen tilt ability. The new iMac 24" 2024 model does not have a headphone jack like a laptop either, so you can't even use a regular cable lock on it. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a suitable solution available at present. This is not good for customers, Apple or Kensington. Very disappointing. I would give it 0 stars, but Amazon required me to give it at least a 1 star rating.

I have a startup and to product my computer from a break in, I purchased this. It does the job and it feels secured. I have peace of mind when I leave my computer to go home now

Non compatible avec l'Imac 24" de 2021. Je ne mets qu'une étoile car je pense qu'il y a un défaut de fabrication sur ce nouveau modèle (le précédent était parfait): 1)L'écran ne peut pas s'incliner jusqu'au bout, le câble d'alimentation n'est pas en face de l'orifice de l'antivol; 2) il y a un jeu de 1 à 2mm entre les 2 platines.
