Took me a second to figure it out, but when I did it fits under the mattress perfectly, holds my weapon, and now I don’t have to have it lying right on my bed table. It is thus hidden from the doorway.

Inexpensive and very good quality. Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Can be adjusted for most any size pistol.Highly recommend this for home security.
