I believe this may be my first review ever of a product. I use Wusthof Classic knives and some brand of steak knives that are not serrated. I have always used Chef's Choice electric sharpeners and have no complaints with them.I gave my daughter my parents TV Bavarian edge black diamond knife sharpener after they passed. I had used it several times when visiting her and cooking for them. I always thought this thing really does work.I decided to search these types of sharpeners on Amazon and decided to go with the Grihot. I sharpened honed or polished every knife I have tonight with it. 12 Wusthof and 8 steak knives. These knives are all now razor sharp. I had to use extreme caution when assessing the blade.The major benefit to me is this sharpener can sit right next to my knife block and be used with great ease. I don't have to pull my electric sharpener out of the drawer and plug it in for one knife.I give this product my total endorsement. I just noticed this review may get published under my daughter's name. I am her father and the actual reviewer.

It's sharpensed decently provided you have the proper angle which really isn't that that hard. It's one drawback is it is really hard to get near the handle especially if your handle has any kind of overlap on the knife.

The Grihot is probably the easiest knife sharpener out there. Well build, sturdy and easy to use. How sharp is determined by the number of passes. A great value for the money.

This nice sharpener works very well as a sharpener and two hone. Best part about it is it feels like it's well made and it looks good on the counter

Read and follow instructions and it works very well to sharpen all sizes of straight edge knives.

I'm sure the product is fine however getting the exact one I ordered is another thing... Product comes in three finishes I ordered and paid for the gold obsidian.. twice it was delivered black obsidian.. hoping 3s a charm
