Easy installation and perfect operation on 2002 Maxima
The set of struts come with ball screws. I didn't refer to any instructions prior to attempting installation... it appeared to me that because I had replacement ball screws attached to the struts that I should "simply" unscrew the old strut's screws and screw the new ball screws and struts into place. I found that the existing ball screws were pretty much impossible to unscrew from the car with a crescent wrench. I then watched a Youtube video about this replacement that pretty much stated the same instructions that this Amazon seller provides - which is to unclip the ball retaining clips from the old struts and simply re-use the balls on the new struts. This was much less stressful to me than attempting to unseat old screws that I would probably mar or strip out. Anyway, both struts took about 5 minutes each to replace when I understood what was going on. And these new struts are perfect - when I lift the hood about 2 feet up and let go, the new struts carry it up to the fully open position. A quick, easy fix for an old car nuisance issue.

top notch Hood supports
This company A premium makes very good products, I'm very impressed with the quality that this company puts out for products for all different kinds of vehicles. These struts help the problem on my Nissan Maxima for the hood I would recommend this product to anybody.

Struts work great and installed fairly easily.
The struts are working fine and hood lifts easily and stays in place again like new. Despite being mechanically challenged they installed without much drama other than pulling the clamp off of strut and having to reattach it and get it back into proper position . Someone else mentioned to be careful when pulling the clamp back not to dislodge it and despite knowing that I still managed to pop it off the strut. So if like me your diy skills are somewhat lacking be careful of that and I doubt you’ll have much problem.

Relatively easy and super firm support
took my about 30 minutes after watching a video on how to replace the supports. I recommend you pull the tabs a bit out on the new supports before you even take the old ones off.The supports themselves are a definite upgrade, much more clean control on descension and extremely firm i.e. it took two supports to barely hold up my hood before replacement, during replacement it only took one of these to firmly hold and support hood. Especially for cost I think this is a worthwhile investment.

Strong! Fits my 2012 Maxima
When you lift the hood after putting these on, you have to hold it down so it doesn't fly up and hit you in the face. I'm partially kidding, it doesn't really come close to hitting your face. But they seriously take all the weight off the hood, and you have to press down on it to get it closed, no more just holding it and letting it drop. Maybe that's how it was when the car was new, I don't know since I bought it used and the struts were already weak when I got it. But the point is, if you're wondering if these are strong enough to lift your hood and hold it up, they definitely are. BTW, I bought these even though my car doesn't fall within the year range that they're supposed to fit, because they were cheaper than the ones that supposedly do fit.

Works great
This was a great fix for my 2003 NIssan Maxima when the stock struts started to go out. I probably won't keep the car for much longer, but it was a worthwhile purchase to avoid having the hood fall down on you when checking the oil or doing other maintenance/repairs. These are well made and packaged and will probably last as long as I own the car. Refer to online videos or other reviews for some tips on the easiest way to install these. These come with replacement ball screws, but I ended up just reusing the ones that were already attached to the car. Also, when you are prying out the spring clips, be careful because they might fly out and hit you in the face or get lost.

Works as advertised
Product works as advertised. My car hood would no longer stay open and these fixed the issue. Very easy to install. Took about 5 minutes with just a screw driver. I did not use the bolts that came with it and just used the old ones already on the car.Be careful loosening the metal band as it can pop off. If it does, the ends of the struts have little slots it slides into to put back in place. I did not see these at first and I really struggled to get the metal band I popped off back on until I noticed the slots.
