So good you'll be surprised you've never had it before.
I was blown away by this tea. It's very good. I much prefer it to the green tea I usually drink. In fact, since my yaupon tea arrived I have been drinking nothing else. The flavor and aroma is just delightful. I worry that some people will read about yaupon tea and think it's a mere novelty. Maybe it's the only caffeinated plant native to the USA, but what if it tastes like lawn shavings? Banish the thought. It doesn't taste like a random plant masquerading as tea. It tastes like a right proper high quality tea. I am quite addicted to it and I'm excited for my friends and family to try it.

Less complex than its dark roast sibling.
I purchased this along with the dark roast so I could try them back to back. Of the two, I would say this is the less interesting one (I really enjoyed the dark roast one). This is like a weaker green tea versus a stronger green tea. I normally like stronger flavors, but for someone who likes a less complex, but pleasant, cup of tea this might be their preferred version.

Interesting
I make a lot of iced teas in the summ and like to mix flavors. This caffeinated leaf is more expensive and tends to be bitter. I find that if I mix with some others flavors I can come up with a ok drink. Some of the flavors that go well are: hibiscus flowers dandy lion root and lemon balm. Rose petals are not strong enough to counter the bitterness. Be careful to take the leaves from the brew in less than 3 mins or so.

Love the flavor, don't miss the jitters
Lost Pines Yaupon Tea, both light and dark roast, has become my daily drink of choice as I reduce coffee intake because it was causing me jitters and sleeplessness at night. The flavor has caramel notes without being sweet. It is interesting and complex, distinctly different from any green or black tea I have tried, and stands up well to daily consumption. I've been drinking it hot most mornings and look forward to it as much as I ever did coffee.

Good Holly
It tastes somewhat similar to guayusa but with a nuttier flavor as described. The mood effects are stimulating (for me) in a nice way and do seem different from both guayusa (which is like a tea leaf on steroids) and yerba mate, which contains a weak MAO inhibitor.

Fresh, flavorful and none of the tea bitterness.
I purchased at the farmer's market instead of Amazon, but I can say with great confidence that this is a fantastic product. It tastes much like green tea, but without the bitter edge that upsets my stomach sometimes (tannins?). I've only tried the light roast, in my opinion, this is to tea much of what cold brew is to coffee. All the good stuff without the downside.
