Q: what size pot would you recommend?..want to put in the corner of a small conference room at work

We purchased an aztec style clay pot from Home Depot that is 10 inches high and has a 9 inch diameter opening. The plant fits right inside beautifully. Note: Buy a real clay pot, not plastic. The weight keeps the plant upright. Hope this helps.

Q: love the look, but omg, it smells AWFUL! Has anyone else found a way to neutralize the smell?

The smell was awful. But it faded away. Left mine close to a window, which i left open during the day. Smell was gone after about a week and a half.

Q: How do you shape the plant to look like the photo

It is not easy. You have to do each leaf individually to look the way you want it to look. Mine sits in a corner so I made most of the leaves face forward anf fifn;t worrk about the ones in back. As in everything, you get used to it and it looks better each day. I honestly doubt that anyone has made their tree look like the photo. I also put mine in a nice pot and it sits on a rod iron decorative base.

Q: Is this plant silk or plastic? And can this plant be kept outside? Q&A says plastic in some cases, silk in others?

My plant is plastic, but not the cheap kind. It is very realistic looking. And I believe it can be kept outside.
