Never tried it on plants. We use it on carpets, clothes and bedding as well as other flooring. Sorry

I use it outside on concrete and the side yard which is dirt and it works great

I have not used it on cat odors, but it works remarkable well on male dog pee, which can be quite strong.I have used this product for over 20 years and will continue to use.
