Garlive Recovery 30 Pills, Dietary Supplement with Hydroxytyrosol and Vitamins, Support for Healthy Immune System

I've been suffering with leg swelling and inflammation from lymphedema for a few years now. I had to go to a lymphedema specialist, spent a couple thousand on wraps 3 times a week, expensive lymphedema stockings, all to decrease the pain and swelling and keep it at bay. Even with the stockings, after working my 10 hour shift I would struggle with leg swelling and redness. I was searching the web for inflammation diets, foods or supplements, anything that would help and ran across an article about inflammation that caught my attention. It was a medical peer-reviewed research article with several physicians as content contributors. One small little blurb mentioned lab mice had shown inflammation improvement when given Garlive. That was all it said, nothing more. I thought what the heck, let me see what this stuff is. I found it on Amazon, read the ingredients and figured I had nothing to lose. I bought it and took 1 tablet a day for 30 days. I changed absolutely nothing else in my diet. I eat fruits and veggies periodically but by no means is my diet what I would consider a healthy one. That said, about 1 week after taking Garlive I noticed an improvement in the redness in my legs and less swelling. I've been taking it for a month and I have days where I can go without my lymphedema stockings with no issue. My legs are still pink in color but not red and they don't hurt anymore. Fluke? Maybe. But I'm not going to argue with something that has been working. I will be buying it again. I just wish I'd have thought to take some before and after pics.

Did not feel it helped my condition after using 2 weeks

Not exactly sure why this product is named Garlive - any reasonable person would assume this was a garlic supplement. It isn't. However, this formulation contains hydroxytyrosol, derived from olives, so there must be something to it. I find that if I take it with an olive leaf supplement, the antioxidant effects multiply. Great for folks like me who don't use EVOO daily (either in cooking, or orally - like cod liver oil).

The Garlive dietary supplement is an interesting product. I tried both the spray and the tablets so I'm cross-posting this review.For me, the tablets win hands down. I'm not sure just what the spray is supposd to taste like, but it's a flavor I really don't like at all. I gave up forcing myself to use it after just a couple of days. Seeing it setting on our kitchen table, my mother decided to try it and she actually likes the taste! Me, I'm sticking with the tablets.There's no way to tell in just a couple of weeks whether it really follows thru on helping the immune system. As the tablets are easy to take, I will likely reorder those over the winter and see if I avoid the usual winter colds and crud.For me, the spray isn't a good value since I just can't stand the taste. The tablets are a much better value for me. As always, this is just my opinion and others may have had different experiences.

I love garlic and am used to the strong smell. This is a big pill that combines garlic and olive tree extract (?) for a good Mediterranean dietary supplement. The smell once you pop it out of the packaging is very strong - but weirdly strong. In order to take it I have to hold my breath so I don’t smell it but once passed it it is ok. It contains 30 pills and the instruction is to take one pill a day preferably in the morning. It is packaged very well and easy to pop out - I guess this is one of those that are not adult proof!!!Does it have any effect? I won’t know till maybe after 2 months of taking it. Been taking it for a week and I don’t feel any different. So we will see how it goes and an edited review should be in order..

First, I take issue with the statement on the package that "dietary supplements do not possess any therapeutic or preventative properties." They have certainly helped me for many years, both therapeutic and to prevent infections and viral illnesses. Nevertheless, this supplement, as the package also says, is not meant to replace a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. However, research as shown that Hydroxytyrosol has antioxidantal value and other health benefits—also shown historically as evidenced by the benefits of a Mediterranean diet. The 10mg content of Hydroxytyrosol should provide some healthful support. The long, oval tablets are easy to swallow and haven't caused any stomach upset or other negative effects. Of course, one could probably get about as much Hydroxytyrosol by eating stuffed grape leaves (dolmas) regularly.

This supplement is a great immune system boost. It has hydroxytyrosol that comes from olive trees and vitamins. Which is a key ingredient to help support a healthy immune system. I've seen a little bit of an improvement so far in my immune system. I'm not having a lot of issues that I had in the past.I specifically ordered this to help keep my immune system healthy; since I do battle with CHF. And I've been really fortunate to be able to stay healthier by using supplements such as these. Even though I can't guarantee everybody will have the same results, I think it's worth giving this one a try. As of now, I have experienced no negative side effects.

The media could not be loaded.  I took this vitamin independently (without other vitamins or supplements). It contains vitamins: C, D,B1, B6, B12, Folic Acid, and olive leaf extract.I’m careful with products containing vitamins D,E,A or K because what the body doesn’t use is stored in fat tissue, which can build up and cause toxicity.The amount of D in this product is 25mcg or 120% of the recommended daily allowance.I like the fact that the dose is just one tablet. They are fairly large: 3/4” long and 1/4” wide (or 2cm x 0.6cm) but I had no trouble swallowing them.They do seem to support the body’s ability to fight and recover from illness.Good product!
