If you're going to spend $100 on a water bottle, I think it's worth the extra $15 or so to get this piece. It covers up the USB charging port, which in theory should keep dust from getting in and should extend the life of the sterilizer. The carabiner can also be useful for securing the bottle to bags and such so that it doesn't fall out. I'd recommend it to anyone using a LARQ bottle.

I was worried my bottle would slip out as some other reviews said, but I found this cover to fit snug and stay on just fine. I don’t hook it to my backpack but I do carry it from the carabiner often and it works great. It looks classy and keeps my lid protected from bumps and dents.

It is way too Expensive for what it is - a silicone ring with a carrabiner. Plus, the bumper has a major design flaw - there is no cutout for the charging port! Every time I want to charge the bottle cap, I have to slide the bumper down, and it is slowly but surely losing its tight fit on the bottle cap. A very bad product, I don't recommend it.
