When laziness strikes, this is my savior and the rice comes out so fluffy and does not stick together. It keeps it warm for a long time. I tried each cooking menu, and it cooks the rice well. Ease to use, you can cook up to six or 7 servings for this cooker. The size is right. 💯 for me.

Great Rice and Grains, but can it do more? Can it make full meals? YES!! But...
For the record, the rice, quinoa, and barley it makes is perfect every time! But since I got it so I can do more than just grains, I want full meals or whole chickens so I don't heat up the whole house. For the price, and for the fact that it's the higher end technology that most modern rice cookers have, it was worth a try. This model is a bit too "set and forget" for my taste--don't get me wrong, when it cooks rice and grains, it's perfect! That "set and forget" option isn't going to work for everything, however; like I said, what about whole chickens, pork loins or pork belly that may require a bit more time and temp control? Luckily the Porridge setting worked for that, as it offers simmering temp at 30-minute increment timing from 1-4 hours. So it can be done! And the results came out great (the second time).Aside from that little experiment, I think that most meat and rice dishes you can do in 30 minutes on the stove can definitely be done in the rice cooker with just the "set and forget" settings that this model provides, as long as the meat is cut to about 1 inch or smaller. We did try cut chicken thighs, white rice, eggplant, and dark sweet soy along with ginger and garlic and it made a very nice claypot chicken as you can see in the picture.Pro--Very easy to operate: just wash your measured amount of rice, pick the right type of rice (for other grains like barley, farro, or quinoa, used the Brown setting), wash said grain, and add the correlating amount of water you need, close the lid, and select your grain type, hit start, and see it in 30-45 minutes. Perfect each time!Cleaning is easy. Handwash the rice pot, everything else is dishwasher safe. The 8-cup version will steam larger meats/birds. But it's a 'use your judgement' kind of steam cooking. A chicken takes about an hour, maybe hour and half on the Porridge setting... and don't buy the biggest chicken in the store!Con--It's TOO easy to operate. Like I said, I wanted to play around with this, but there's no real instructions or manufacturer's recipes/cookbook on how to do that like with the other higher end brands out there. So, if and when you have more... complicated meats you want to cook in this, use the Porridge setting. If it's small cut meats or poultry with the grain you want, just use the most appropriate setting (chicken drumsticks and white rice, White setting; Claypot brown rice with hard Squash and mushrooms, try the brown setting). It would be nice if this came with a steamer basket like the more expensive brands, for steaming fish filets and veg above the rice. It's a side purchase, and if you want to find one, look for one that is nearest to 8.75"-8.85" diameter. So, 4 out of 5 stars. Have fun!

Best upgrade ever
The media could not be loaded. I recently upgraded to the Offacy Rice Cooker Maker, and it has completely transformed my cooking routine. This versatile appliance can handle up to 6 cups of uncooked rice, which is perfect for meal prepping or family dinners. The 8 preset programs and smart fuzzy logic ensure that my rice comes out perfect every time, whether I'm making white rice, brown rice, or other traditional rice dishes from my country. The friendly touch panel and LED HD display make it easy to navigate and set the cooker, and the auto keep warm feature means my food is always ready to eat. Plus, the quick cook option is a lifesaver on busy nights. It's sleek, efficient, and a true game-changer in my kitchen.

Simple and tasty
It's been very easy to cook rice with this rice cooker. I live at higher elevations and I'm constantly seeing recipes that discuss taking that into account. Maybe it's the "Smart Fuzzy Logic" setting, but I don't have to take anything into account with this. I just put in the rice and water, select the type of rice, and hit start (after cleaning it. I've heard that cleaning it is a very important step). It's been very easy to clean. It is important that you hand wash the insert. It sounds like a dishwasher can harm it.No complaints so far, and looking forward to healthier eating in the future.Update: If there was one thing that I'd want that it doesn't have....it would be a countdown timer from right when you start it. It gives you a sort of "loading screen icon". Towards the end of the cook you'll get an actual timer. That let's you know when you have (about) ten minutes left.

Dead on arrival
I purchased this unit during the recent Amazon prime sale. Received the unit today. There was no visible damage to the shipping carton or to the rice cooker. However it was dead on arrival.Cleaned some rice and put it into the bowl, put bowl into rice cooker, and plugged in the unit. No lights came on. Pressing the menu button did not result in anything happening. Unplugged the rice cooker and operated another appliance from the same plug to be sure that my kitchen outlet was working properly. I several times tried plugging and unplugging the rice cooker, pressing and pressing the menu button, but nothing ever happened. The extremely frustrating thing is that the Amazon sale is now over and I will have to pay a higher price to obtain a different brand of rice cooker.
