Good Starter Set Of Cast Iron Pans
I bought this set of pans for camping and I absolutely love them! They come preseasoned, but do yourself a favor and re-season them before using. Coat them with a light layer of vegetable oil and then "bake" them in the oven at about 425F for an hour. Let them cool and wipe off any excess and repeat the process a time or two. This will start to build up a strong seasoning coat. Then when you use them wash them out. You can use a little dish soap without worry, and then dry them by putting them back on a medium high burner until all the water has evaporated. A towel can't get into the pores properly. Once dry, turn down to medium and pour in a little oil and use tongs and a paper towel to wipe the entire pan. If it starts to smoke, turn it down a bit and keep wiping until it is dry. Let cool and wipe out any excess. If you do this each time you will build up a great non-stick surface after just a few uses. Super easy to clean when done this way.Another cleaning tip is to boil some water in the pan and scrape the bits off with a spatula, then use a normal sponge to finish the job.If you take care of your cast iron it will perform well for years. I am impressed with how quickly I was able to get these pans seasoned for use.

Multi-function cast iron skillet
I love these cast iron skillet pans! This is my first cast iron I've ever purchased and used and I can't believe I've been missing out. I love the fact it's deep and a decent size I've only had it for a couple weeks but I have already used it for frying, baking. You do need to season it even though it said it's pre-season pan cookware trust me you do need to season it I did wash it with light soapy water dry it right away and use vegetable oil inside and outside the pan, I put the oven on 380 degree and put the pan face down and leave for 1hr once the hour is up I turned off the stove and left the pan in there until it cooled down. After you use it wash it and dry right away and wipe some oil in the pan even if you don't put it in the oven each time I would turn the top stove on for 5 min. I saw some people pan arrived damage, mine did come with some scratches however as soon I contacted the seller they rectify the situation. Trust me it is worth the buy.

Heavy duty and heavy
My friend always recommend cast iron skillet so I decide to give this a try. When I receive this cast iron skillet nonstick pan, and I lift it and feel so heavy. I have to use both hand to lift it, and even more heavier when cooking. However, it’s heavy duty, it can cook most of stuff and doesn’t have to worry about scratching it. I also like the silicone handle that come with it, so when I cook it over a grill, I don’t have to worry about getting burn. However, over time, this cast iron do get rust, and I have to wash it, dry it and apply oil. I hate this part, and have to make sure I don’t miss a spot. Also have to repeat this process when get rust again. I do enjoy cooking with this cast iron skillet but hate the rust part.

solid but rough
The size and weight were just as I expected, the handle is very nice. The cooking surface is cast and still bebbly-rough. Prior cast iron skillets I have owned had the cooking surface machined smooth after casting, making it easier to get a near non-stick surface after proper seasoning. The roughness is minor; this may work out fine; I've been using it as-is for a month now. If not, as the instructions point out, it will not be difficult to take this back to bare metal and even a rotary sander would be sufficient to get the surface smoothed out with only minor effort, then re-season with some oil.

Perfect cast iron pan
What can I say, I love my cast iron skillet! This thing give heat is more uniform ,I used it make fruits pizza and chicken bacon. If you are not familiar with the cast iron ways then let me tell you, you are missing out. This thing cooks better than a Teflon pan, is easier to clean, and doesn't release harmful chemicals into your food. Other ways it differs from the Teflon pan is that it takes longer to heat up, but once it is hot it does a better job at distributing and maintaining heat.

Black residue
This is a nice skillet. I mainly bought it for making biscuits. However, no matter how much I use it and clean it, there is always a black residual on my paper towel. Yes, I lightly re-grease it after each use but cannot seem to get rid of the black residual. I am sort of new to cast iron, maybe this is the norm?

Nice gift
I’m not a fan of cast iron but my step mum is so we got these for her when we drove up north to see her. She was ecstatic and loved them. She was even tickled over the handle protector. She’s had the same set as long as I can remember so I thought this would be a nice surprise and it was!
