Easy Oil Painting: Beginner tutorials for small still lifes

I bought this for my daughter who is beginner oil painter. She has done few of the projects and now and the end result is wow. She is enjoying learning from this book and recommending it to anyone who wants to learn oils.

I absolutely love this book. It's taught me so much about composition and applying oil paint to blend .I'd recommend this to any beginner in oil paint.

Very clear guidance and straightforward subjects to copy.

Really good book for beginners with simple easy to follow steps. The quality of the book paper is also very good (important when spilling paint by accident). Paintings are simple objects. Only addition i would want is some more vibrant images to paint.

A lovely reasonably priced book with stunning pictures. Really helpful guidance on still life oil painting. Useful introductory chapters on colour and techniques which I found very accessible. Highly recommend.

This book has a very good introduction and great exercises. I worked through all the exercises and felt my painting skills greatly improved by the end. Learning a new skill or hobby can be frustrating at times, but by the end of this book I was really enjoying myself.

It explains all that one needs to know very simply, provides a variety of small examples to try with limited palettes encouraging sustained success.

This small book packs a big punch. Loaded with information, it tells you not only how the projects sound be executed, but most importantly, why that way. It offers sound advice on the tools and the setup that you will need, introduces tricks to make your work easier (not great at drawing? here's how to transfer an outline!) and sets you up for success. The sample paintings are also a joy to look at.
