Fun World Fade In/Out Unknown Phantom Child Costume, Multicolor, Medium

My son loves this costume! It was his fave yet! We had to go buy some accessories for it but other than that it’s been washed several times and it’s pretty durable . It seems like a good quality and he said it’s comfortable ! We have gotten many uses out of it and he did actually scare kids at the zoo! He’s 9 .

Based on other reviews, I ordered a larger size than I normally would and am thankful I did. This runs very, very small. This barely fits my child who ordinarily wears a size 6 - 7 pants. And it is not quite as long as it appears. But, the costume is otherwise great. I can't see my child's face, but he can see out very well. The goggles worked for us (no trouble like others have had) and give a very spooky appearance -- my only complaint about them is that they are a bit large for his head, so hard to keep on. Still, this was a big hit with my kid.

My son is almost 8 and really loves this costume! It fits well and he's about 67 lbs and 53" tall. He saw another boy wearing this type of costume last October and has bugged me about the "Grim reaper" costume with red eyes since last Halloween. I got this for him and it fits great, is really comfortable for him to wear and he's gotten a lot of use out of it already and Halloween is three months away still! He is a big fan of wearing costumes around the house just for fun with his friends. UPDATE: He wore it with great success at Halloween! NOTE: The scythe needs to be purchased separately. It's an integral part of the costume though, so go the extra mile and get that too! If your child loses stuff, then maybe attach the black gloves with some kind of black yarn or something and sew it on the edge of the sleeves perhaps. OR buy those "mitten clips" that go through the arms and around the back. You know, the kind of clips you buy for little kids to prevent the loss of winter gloves and mittens. He has lost the gloves before, and then found them, then left them at a friend's house, got them back. Lost them again. LOL Just for fun, I'm updating with photos of our pint sized Grim Reaper (or Phantom, whatever). :)

The batteries that came with it were dead and the switch was broken, so the glowing eyes would not work. We didn't have time to send it back for a new one, so we re-wired it and it works fine. Also, there is not a pocket or place to attach the box, so that was kind of a pain. The costume itself is good quality and my son loves it, so I would buy it again.

My son loves his costume. Others have commented that the glasses don't work. Ours work but the On/Off switch is broken so you have to take the batteries out to turn it off. That isn't a big enough issue for us to return. For the price the quality is what I expected. Only complaint is that I did ask what the appropriate size would be for my son, who is 5 1/2, 48" and 47lbs. I was told by the seller to buy the M. I should have ordered a small as this is WAY too big for him. Again, with a week until Halloween, not a a returnable issue as I can just cut it to a better size, but for others who may need sizing info. Despite everything my son is happy!

Bought this for my child who will be 8 the day before halloween. I got the size medium (8-10). It fits as I expected. It is too long for him, but I use safety pins to hold it up so he won't trip. He is husky and there is enough room around the shoulders in this size. This costume will most definitely fit him next year. This year he can even wear a layer of clothing underneath. We have not tried it yet with a sweatshirt, but the material has a little stretch to it so I'm sure it will work. The glasses with the light is a little difficult, as they are made for a larger face, but as long as the child walks and doesn't jostle too much they should stay put. The battery pack for the glasses I haven't figured out yet. It's a little heavy and I have yet to see if the wire is long enough to reach to the candy pail. Will update if necessary.

The glasses in this costume kit are defective. The wires are not attached to anything and the glasses do not work. The rest of the costume was as advertised.

It's a pretty standard thin synthetic fabric costume, nothing extraordinary. The fade-out glasses work just fine, my son tested for half hour. The fading out lights are mounted on plastic goggles but sit below the eyes so not to block the vision, which is great. The size is truly much smaller than norm. Medium is equivalent to size 6 to 7. I am not giving it 5 stars due to a bit cheap fabric quality, and also the glasses do not stay put on my sons head/face, but slide down under the weight of the lights. The plastic of the glasses is thin and is not holding the weight, we need to add a rubber band in the back or something...

Looks great. Works properly. My son loves it. Material is standard Halloween costume quality. Meets all reasonable expectations.
