Great Birthday Present for an 8 Year Old!!
My son REALLY wanted a boomerang this year for his birthday. We had no idea what we needed to get, but knew we didn't need to get him something that he could get injured with as it came back around. This boomerang is light and soft so we don't worry about him getting hurt while he plays with it. It took him a while to figure out his grip and angle, but after about 10 minutes was really making some great throws! He asks to go outside and play with it often, which is great! Please note though, you really need space to practice or it can easily go over a fence, into the road, or up a tree. We think after a few years of using something like this, he can move on to a more traditional style one. For now, this is an excellent starter boomerang for any curious kid.

Fun, but more like a frisbee.
Maybe throwing a boomerang is more difficult than I imagined, but this product doesn't work as well as I thought it would for my 5 and 7 year old. Even my 12 year old had a tough time actually making it return to him.The material is like foam. Soft enough that if someone is hit in the face they'll shake it off and keep playing. It's really light, but durable. It acts more as a frisbee than boomerang.

Bought for son. It is made of light foam which is good and bad. It would not hurt if hit with it. It is also s so light it lifts easily into the air but unfortunately can get stuck in trees. Best to use on a low wind day. Great for all ages. True to pictures. Would recommend with caution based on where it will be used.

Best super safe boomerang you could even play with a baby !!!
The only bad part of a boomerang is about hitting yourself or people around you but not this time with this boomerang because is so lightweight and foam made which makes a perfect balance between a great boomerang plus a super safe Homer fan which cannot hurt anybody !!!

This is a safety Kid's Practice Boomerang.A few people complain it breaks easy or that it is overpriced.For $17 CAD, it is 100% as advertised. Soft foam. So, your kids won't get hurt. It is easy to grab, catch and throw. Again, safety, but also function.Second to that, it is for learning on. Not for competition sporting events. $17 CAD is low cost. It is engineered much better than anything sold in a Dollar Store. By FAR!! It is on par with items in the toy department at Walmart. ๐I think it is perfect for what it is.Durability: 7/10Function: 7.5/10Safety: 10/10Fun Factor: 9/10Price: 8/10I give a total of 3.5/5 stars because it is hard to get it to come all the way back to you. But it comes close enough that you aren't chasing it. And it krinkles up a little bit when it hits the ground. All expected with foam toys.I am happy with it. My son has learned how to improve his aim, power and throwing technique 10 fold. And in only 30 minutes of practice. ๐
