Yes but you just press the vacuum button again to stop it.

Q: Can I seal soup / sauces for the freezer

Hi, yes you can but you need to leave space in the top of the bag so it doesn't suck it into the machine. Also to use the setting for moist foods. I have used it for curry sauces and Bolognese sauce with success. Hope this helps.

No you can buy any bags online for this machine

It can last for up to 2 weeks in the fridge when its cooked and vacuum sealed although you should always use your own sense and check it before eating if your at the latter end of that period. Personally i would vacum seal to make it easier to pack away then put it in the freezer. Ive eaten 6 months old chicken doing that without issue.
