This large tumbler is great! It keeps water ice cold even on the 2nd day. I'm sipping water all day long and with smaller tumblers, I have to refill several times. I do like a lot of ice in there and fill up about 1/2 way up with ice and then add water to the top. There is still ice in there in the evening when I've finished the water. I'll refill the water and add a little more ice, and the tumbler is good to last all night and into the morning. I do not use the straws and find the lid closes tight with no leaking at all. In fact, when I add ice and water, I close it up and shake it up to get the water really cold right away. Nothing leaks! The lid is a little tricky to screw on, but once I find the sweet spot to start, it screws on just fine. It is heavy when full, but it is easy enough to pick up and drink with one hand using the sturdy handle. I find it much easier than the 40 oz bottle I previously purchased with no handle. So, if you like to have ice cold water by your side all day this is definitely a great product!

Great cup. Kept my liquids cold/warm. The only bad part is: I put the lid down somewhere and can't find it now. I'd prefer to just purchase another lid rather than having to buy another cup.

When they advertise this as leak proof they are not kidding. Filled it up, secured the lid and turned it upside down to make certain it would not leak at inconvenient times. Not a single drop came out. Put the straw in and turned it sideways, still not a single drop escaped around straw's entry point. Add to that, the ice inside last for many hours. If you fill it with ice and then liquid, you run out of liquid and have a chunk of ice left. I have learned to fill it with about a half ice then add liquid and even with my constant thirst thanks to diabetes, at the end of day when I refill the cup, only have to add more water, no ice needed. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a chair side or bedside glass to use all day. Built sturdy and not excessively heavy even when filled to the brim. Excellent value makes me tempted to buy one for every family member. My only comment which could be negative is due to how tightly the lid fits. Older people such as myself with weak grip may have trouble getting the lid off. I am okay with it as I think I'm building muscle trying to open it sometimes. I would give 10 Stars if I could!

This is a very nice and seams to be well made mug, but it definitely does not hold 50 ounces, it will hold 3,12 ounce cans of soda with just a little space for ice if desired. If it does hold 50 ounces, you’ll have to prove it to me. It is rather heavy when full, and kind tricky to make it a right or left handed mug, you have to play around with the screw top lid a couple of times to get it right and always remember how you took it off so you can put it back on the same way. It has a wide mouth so it’s easy to clean. It does keep cold things cold for a while but not nearly as long as advertised but longer then the plastic insulated mugs do. I have not tried it with a hot beverage yet so I can’t say how well it does. The lid has two openings, a large flip top and a place to insert the metal straws that come with it. On the bottom of the lid where the straw is inserted is a strong spring loaded stopper, if you turn it over without the straw inserted it doesn’t seam leak however because of the strong spring loaded stopper, when you insert the metal straw, the inside part of the straw will point upwards making it difficult to suck the contents, you have to turn the mug around to suck the rest up. You can just use the flip top stopper and insert the straws or insert one of those flexible straws from a travel mug if you even choose to use a straw. Although personally I’m a little uncomfortable using the metal straw primarily because it could cause injury to your mouth or especially your teeth in the event of an emergency. Overall it’s not a bad mug and I like the design because it’s not designed with a narrow bottom to fit a cup holder and doesn’t easily turn over on a table like a tall narrow cup would. I’d probably buy again, I just wish it was larger like one of the cheap 56-64 ounce plastic insulated mugs.

I drink a lot of water probably twice as much as the average person. After using a 40 oz plastic cup for several years I came across this 50 Oz tumbler and bought it when it was on sale. I should have done this years ago as my regular cup would sweat from the ice water and actually ruined the veneer on my nightstand top. I had tried a another manufacturer's 32 oz tumbler but after a couple months of use the press on lid that had a gasket did not fit as tight as it did when it was new so when the cup tipped over the lid was prone to come off. This new 50 Oz tumbler has a screw on cap and seals perfectly even the straw (two straws and a cleaning brush are included) seals perfectly and doesn't leak. I've read a couple reviews where people claim it does not hold 50 Oz but I measured it and it does indeed hold 50 oz of liquid when filled to the brim. I'm not sure about the 36-hour claim of keeping liquid cold because I drink more than 50 oz of water but I know for a fact that after 26 hours I still had ice cubes clattering in it. The thing I like best is that it doesn't sweat a single drop of moisture and it keeps my ice water ice cold for a very long time. The lid has a snap up sipping spout which closes very firmly and does not leak a drop. I just wish I would have bought this thing sooner I highly recommend it. UPDATE: it's close to a year after I bought this product and I use it all day everyday and it performs as good as a day I bought it. Ice cubes are still not melted overnight into the next day, and with the lid sealed and the straw in I can still tip this tumbler on its side and not a single drop leaks out of it. I can safely say that this product has far exceeded my expectations.
