ELEGOO 8K 3D Printer Resin, Standard Photopolymer Resin 405nm UV-Curing Resin, Best for 8K/9K/12K/14K/16K LCD 3D Printer Space Grey 1000G

Having previously only used Elegoo's water washable resin I thought I would try with standard resin and chose this as my test purchase. This resin delivered excellent printing results with no adjustment to my Mars 2 Pro printer. I noticed no real difference in odour compared to the water washable filter (however I always wear a mask (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00PRRZSGW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) when handling resin. I personally find this better to use than the water washable resin: - water can't be used in the Mercury Plus wash and Cure station - water washed prints take longer to dry - the cleaning agent (IPA) is easier to filter for reuse compared to contaminated water All in all I am a convert to standard resin on the basis of this purchase and won't hesitate to buy and use again.

prints well on a Mars 3, crisp details - though the translucent nature makes detail quite hard to see. its a very light ice blue and for thinner items this may be too light. low viscosity, seems fine with the Mars 3 default settings, decent price and not had any failed prints. its more brittle than the "ABS Like" resins, this was as expected

This is now my go to resin for all general purpose printing. It's given me a strong consistent performance for both large and small models, it washes well in IPA and the smell isn't particularly obnoxious. On the couple of occasions that I've forgotten to ventilate my hobby area I haven't really noticed it or any ill effects. I've not experiences shrinkage or cracking like other people have described with alternative resins, and it cures to a solid clean surface that sands well and takes both dark and light primers excellently. 99% of the time I've had trouble it's been my own fault and not a problem with the resin, and on the 1 time where I had a problem which wasn't my fault I contacted Elegoo directly though their social media and they responded within 12 hours with a solution that resolved my issue first time without any fuss. I totally recommend this. I'm running an Elegoo branded printer using the default settings on both the printer and in Chitubox, no modifications to either.

It does what you expect it to do, calibrating the printer for this resin is very straightforward

I have purchased several bottles of Elegoo Resin for my Anycubic Photon and have had great results, with highly detailed models printed. As with all printer resin, you should use in a well ventilated room and avoid skin contact (it will cause severe skin irritation). Another point to note is to ensure that your exposure settings are "dialled in" on your program used for slicing.. all resins are different, so look on Elegoo's website for their ideal settings/exposure times. Item always comes safely and well packed and has a good price break compare to other brands in the same category.
