Dear Reader, as I write this I am seated comfortably at my desk—perched atop this cushion like a sensible adult who has finally made one good decision. I am literally sitting on it right now, which feels like the most honest endorsement possible. Let me be clear: this cushion is THICK. So thick that I had to lower my office chair because it boosted me several inches closer to authority. This is not a flimsy pad. This is serious, supportive memory foam that does not flatten or give up on you by mid-afternoon. The rubberized bottom keeps the cushion firmly in place, so there’s no sliding, scooting, or mid-day repositioning. I got it to replace the pillow I was sitting on as my back would hurt and my butt got numb, but now I dont have this issue and I've fallen asleep on it a few times. It takes some time to get used to as its stiff when you forst sit on it and then it slowly forms to your bottom. Its pretty good quality and its wide enough for me to sit on. If you like to be pantless I recommend putting a cover or a blanket on it as the fabric makes makes on anywhere exposed. Also there is a slight vaccume sealed smell so just leave it out to expand like the instructions say and the smell goes away pretty quickly.

I recently purchased this cushion and used it on a 10 hour international flight. Size: I’m 5’-10” 175lbs and it fits me nicely. It also fit the coach airplane seat without spilling over. When sitting on it, you almost cover the whole thing and you’re about an inch taller. Comfort: the airplane seat bottoms are so thin and worn out, you can almost feel the frame through them. This pad made it so much more comfortable. The contours also provided support in the right areas. The only problem with this pad for travel is it’s bulky and takes up a lot of room. It can fold and compress a little, but it’s bulky. Overall quality seems sturdy, will see over time how long it lasts. Its already paid itself off with the 1 flight. I also use it at home when I’m working. Overall recommend.

This thing came in such a small box that gave me very little hope for comfort. I unpackaged it & let it sit until I got home the following evening. It now looked like I expected it to. I put it in my chair & sat on it for a few hours while I studied. I was pleasantly surprised at the firmness and comfort. The support it gave was great. I'm usually in pain by the time I get up but the pain was minimal. It looks & feels like a quality item & hoping to get several years of use out of it.

Hmmm . . . It's been 3 days since this arrived, so I'm not sure if I'm just being impatient or if this is as good as it gets, but as of right now, it's just okay. It's nowhere near the 3.5" thickness that's advertised. It's closer to maybe just a little over 2" and it's pretty firm. Is firm better than soft? Not sure, but I'm comparing it to another coccyx cushion that my sister has that's a softer memory foam and to me, hers is much more comfortable. (hers is no longer available for purchase or I would have just bought the same one) Pros : - this one is wider than my sisters which, combined with the non slip dots on the bottom side, keep it in place better even on larger seats. - the larger size also means that there's a larger target to hit when you're not able to easily "aim" yourself to sit on it just right. On seats without arms to help ease me down slowly, the larger size gives much more room for error. - love the carry handle (I took it on an airplane and that made traveling with it easy) - the cover unzips for washability if needed - no logo or markings on it. I'm pretty picky about aesthetics and hate goofy logos, so this makes me happy Cons : - it's really firm. Maybe that's good for some, and maybe it'll soften up over time, but it's a bit hard for my liking - the seat cover is an open weave mesh which is nice for breathability, but if you're wearing shorts or a shorter skirt, the mesh fabric is a little rough and not the most comfortable on bare skin I bought this to help with a temporary issue pre and post op, so for my short term needs this'll suffice nicely. If my intentions were to use this everyday, I would need to look for something else that's more comfortable.

I have sciatic pain and face a 3 day travel coming up. I ordered this cushion and it was hard and not comfortable. I decided to step on it over and over, until it softened. Now it is wonderful. Sitting on it brings relief right away. I am 87 yrs old and relief is necessary ..Thank you!

This cushion is comfortable in the car, sewing, and working at my computer. The strap to carry it is very handy.

In my opinion, this product really shines on long car drives. I used to get back pain driving my Mustang GT coupe because of the hard seats, but using this seat completely changed that. My back pain went away almost instantly. Total game changer for comfort on long drives.
