I honestly wasn't expecting these drives to work as well as they have been, I got 3 of the 4tb ssd's an they are working well. I haven't experienced any read write error and I'm very glad I did switch over my drives to these my Samsung 1tb SSD from 2015 finally died and now I have more space to store my steam games and files.

I made a scathing review of this because my laptop would not recognize the device. I dove a little deeper and found out I had to go into disk management and format the device. It's simple but not intuitive. I had to do a youtube tutorial to get the proper steps. The end result is that this device works and it pretty fast...if I have any problems, I'll edit it.Please note that you only get 465 usable GB, not the 500 that they advertise but I believe this is a pretty standard practice.

Bought drive for another. Hated to see it go once had it couple days loading windows and other programs, SO FAST! I'm not needing size upgrades but the speed I am going to! $ where are you 😭

But please be aware this is a unformatted drive that you will have to initialize and format before you install it as a main drive. Cables are availabe for this purpose. I used my other PC for this purpose.What I liked, is it was a reasonable drive price wise

My old HP ProBook has been gathering dust. Old, slow, 500GB hard drive... Took forever to boot up. It even has DDR3 memory!I decided to try making it useful on the cheap, so I bought this 1TB drive. The results are more than worth it.CrystalDiskMark has it as 10 times as fast as my old hard drive.The difference is amazing.It went from "Hit power button, go make cup of coffee, come back and log in" to "Hit power button, *blip* Log in".Every program loads faster, as well.So now it's been dusted and cleaned up and sits on my desk again, ready for daily use. I'm going to add more RAM, and will probably buy a larger FikWot drive for it, maybe a 2TB this time.Also, the SATA connector is pretty solid and doesn't flex like that expensive Crucial SSD did before it broke.Don't know how long it will last, but it's already lasted longer than that Crucial did.Edit: I've purchased four more and they're all problem free and perform well.
