I am 77 and have long hair. Unfortunately, my hair has thinned with age, and does not hold curl well with summer humidity. This summer I have been working on a garden we have around our patio, so I have been putting my hair in a ponytail to keep it out of my face and off my neck. All but one of my barrettes could hold my hair in a ponytail without sliding down. When I found these barrettes, I decided to try them. Considering the price, I decided to buy 2 sets of them, and I am so glad I did. The colors are very pretty, and I love the tortoise shell patterns. These barrettes hold my hair in a ponytail without slipping. They are so very easy to clip shut and to open when you want to remove them. Since the inner part of the clamp is flexible, I'm sure these would also work for thicker hair, but would hold a bit tighter. I would recommend these barrettes for thin hair, and hope this review was helpful for you.

Barrett's stay put in thin hair as promised. Colors are nice. I only wish there were 2 blue barrets instead of 1 as I wear a lot of blue.
