Can it take you back in time if assembled correctly?

it will not take you back in time but it propels time at twice normal speed for 8 minutes of operation you get to see what it is like 15 minutes ahead of time! gee whiz! mine works that way anyway, the "minute" hand goes at twice speed while the second hand goes at normal rate.

It is plastic. I have made wood clocks somewhat similar and they go for 100 to 200 bucks. This clock was great to build with my grandson.
