Swageless Surface Mount Cable Turnbuckle Tensioner 2" Barrel for 1/8" Cable

Reasonably simple to use. Somewhat pricy solution to crimp-free tensioner for 1/8" cable, but does the job when combined with the swage-free cable anchor screw to hang on the other end. Be sure to cut your cable ends cleanly -- I poked the cable through the insertion end with the clamping mechanism pulled out so I could spread the 4 talons open just a bit to get the cable in more easily before tightening it the tensioner assembly; worked well.

I used this along with the LUX surface mount deck toggle to hang a room-dividing curtain across a 12-foot-wide span. I'm very pleased with the result. There were no instructing included, so I spent some time with a piece of scrap cable figuring out how the two pieces work. Definitely invest in good cable cutters and be careful feeding the cable through the compression pieces because it just won't work if the cable is frayed at all. What I most like is how small and inconspicuous these pieces are compared to other items that provide the same functionality.The turnbuckle has approximately 2 inches of adjustment which was plenty for my 12-foot cable run. I plan to buy another set to hang some commercial LED string lights and I know these will look a lot better than hook and eye turnbuckles with thimbles, clips, and ferrules.

These parts worked great for my project. Was waiting weeks from another supplier when I found these which were a direct match. Saved my project timeline big time!!!
