I do like these little books, I use them to junk journal, but the paper comes out easy and that round metal thing is bulky, not even sure the purpose of it

Too too tiny to really do anything with, I threw them away.

I was looking for some tiny books for a project and these were perfect. However, if you are looking for books for regular note taking, they are too small for that purpose.
