It was waterproof. But. This was purchased for outside Christmas decorating. The color of this ribbon was not the vibrant red I expected, but still workable. It split before I unrolled it, but I suppose that's the nature of floral ribbon. As I wrapped it around my front porch posts, the dye stained my hands and powder formed on my newly-painted posts. I removed ribbon and powder and am waiting for weather to wash away the residual. Decided not to return and just gave away the remaining 80% of the roll.

I wove this into a tablecloth for Easter, and it was a big hit! And then I still had many many yards left over lol. I will keep this on hand and make another tablecloth next year.

I have no idea what most people use this for…but for us, this ribbon is PERFECT for turning the many white columns in the front of our house into candy canes! Every year, we wrap each column painstakingly and this ribbon does the trick. We bought another roll this year after running out. Withstands wind, rain, everything and is still a vivid red after 60+ days outside in direct sunlight. Highly recommend!
