Why do the blades say “Japan” when the knives are made in China for a Lithuanian company?

Never noticed that but I now know why mine was dull lol...

The design, steel and wooden handle of this huusk knife originate from Japan and are assembled in China, because now is the era of globalization and labor in China is cheaper compared to Japan.

Can this be used as an everyday chef's knife?

I bought this knife. I won't use this knife to cut food, let alone an everyday chef knife. I like this knife and keep it as I collect knifes. It is unique. To me it's one of those as seen on TV type of products that doesn't really hit the mark.
