I’m not technically inclined. Don’t know, don’t care about internet. I had to get internet to my guest house about 100 feet away from the main house. This was the perfect solution and the cheapest and fastest.Here is some points to know for those like me who didn’t even know the difference between a router and a modem until this project.1-This doesn’t create internet out of thin air. You have to already have internet.2- This comes with two devices.One you put wherever you already have internet (say your house)And the other one you put wherever you want to have internet. (In my case, a guest house)3-The deviceshave to face each other and there should not be any obstructions.4- Each unit has to be physically connected to you a router.5. Wherever it is that your internet is coming from ( in my case, the main house) you have a modem and a router separately, or a modem/router combo. (In my case I have a modem/router combo)You have to use an ethernet cable to connect your modem/router combo or your router to the one unit, which they call the master unit.On the other end( my guest house) if you want wireless internet, the other unit has to be physically connected to a “router”, no need for a modem anymore since you already have one where the internet is coming from.6- important!Set up your new router( if you want wireless at the new place) at the main internet source. This means connecting it to the main modem/ router combo or the separate modem and router and setting it up there. Once it’s hooked up and it’s got internet connection you can disconnect it and bring it to the new location to be installed. I tried to set my new router up at the new location first and it didn’t work, I couldn’t get internet that way.7- I get 100 mbps at my house, and about 80 mbps at my guest house now. So, you’re not going to get the same amount of internet at the new place but you’re still getting a good amount and it’s much cheaper and easier than other options.That’s all I can think of. Good product. It’s really the best option to send internet feom your home to a guest house, airb&b or to any other separate building in your property supposedly up to 3 km away.Good luck

We installed this on a property with some rental Airbnb units. Relatively easy setup. We used this to replace an ancient bridge we had that had slower speed caps. We were able to install with just 2 wood screws each. Basically plug and play as the instructions say! However the speeds are less than we hoped at the receiving end...We are sending a 1Gbps connection about 300 meters to another building slighlty downhill. Pretty clear line of sight. Maybe the occasional tree branch. At the source I'm getting 550-650mbps down, 30mbps up, at the receiving end of the bridge though I'm just getting about 160mbps down, still 30mbps up. I had hoped the download speeds would be higher since this is a Gigabit sender.

Works great for my use case which is penetrating through two panes of polarized glass at 300 ft. And I get a maximum speed around 80 mbps per second. Setup is a little confusing if you want to access the web interface. Just reach out to their support. They will walk you through it.

Notes on my installation:Pros:* Works somewhat - even through walls (I was able to link up - but not great connectivity). This is between two buildings seperated by about 200'.* Easy set up.Cons:* Needs a better user interface - at least it takes time to get used to it.* Settings don't stay set. The devices kept reverting back to the default bridging SSIDs. It is not clear from the instructions if there is a work around.* No clear place to download firmware upgrades.Improvements to consider?* Showing more information about connectivity in the user GUI - expecially including signal strength.* SNMPNot a bad set of devices...as I only really did some basic connectivity checks. I am pretty neutral on these bridge devices so far. I will update my review as I finish my installatiion.

Installed from my house to daughter's next door about 150 feet. Good connection and signal strength.My mistake: We did not get the bracket mounts--Waiting on those.Even at 4 ft tall (temp poles) the signal is not deterred by us walking in front of them.

Sending signal from 300 speed modem, tested, 800ft. With no restrictions to home Wi-Fi and dropped to between 20 to 30.Easy install. Had another brand for couple years doing the same location but with 200+ speed and dropped to 60 to 70 speed. Had to replace because it quit working. Definitely not as advertised.

So this unit has bandwidth management in it and that helps at the user end. Signal level (LED'S) on the side of the units help for alignment. Pretty much a no brainer setup. Easy.
