Hasn't broken off at the hilt like the other one. Happy. Time wlll tell
Good knife. Sharp as hell. Hasn't broken off at the hilt like the other one that was similar. Time will tell. Had for about a month and very happy with it.

Great for soft things
Ceramic knives are amazing for soft substances but will chip if used on bones or wooden stems. They also do not shed metal dust nor require sharpening for many months. The Rynal is great on all of the above except carrots- it requires twice the effort as my 5.5" Kyocera Santoku due to the longer blade. I only cut carrots with the base of the knife, never the middle or front edge.I dropped it once on the floor from 3 feet up. It did not break as it luckily landed on the handle. Hopefully I never drop it again as ceramic knives should be gently treated like ceramic plates and bowl.

They seem to dull quickly
It didn't last as long as I hoped it would. It still cuts and it's really super sharp when I got it. I didn't abuse it and I did take care of it but it seemed to go pretty quickly, and I don't know if I want to get involved in learning how to sharpen ceramic knives.

Cuts With Ease!
Love this knife! I had another ceramic knife which unfortunately I dropped on the tile floor and chipped! This was a replacement - and a great one!! Cuts with ease!!

Sharp, but handle with care.
So far I am happy with this knife. That being said, when I use it, I wash it and immediately put it back in the sheath. I feel I need to be careful with it because the blade is big and long and could easily be broken if twisted or smacked on the cutting board. I have cut a variety of things with it from mushrooms to hard carrots and turkey leg meat, and it glided through everything effortlessly.
