I use this to soder a pipe and works well and easy to use. I didn't have to light a match. Light starter works great. Good value too.

Defective products
I bought this item to replace a 40 year old Mapp torch. Are first thid was a nice product. Flame lit at a push of the button off as soon as you let go. 10 fittings later the torch lights but will not shut off. You must close the gas valve. Poor quality or defective product. Beware gas leaks constantly if you do not manually close the shutoff fuel control valve

Stopped working after 45 days
worked great right out of the box. noticed as the more I used it maybe 12 times as i got to start grill it would take more triggering to start it to current state doesn't ignite at all. got is Sept 1st and by mid November its 100% defective...would like a replacement maybe i got a bad one.
