Slight Quality Loss, Does Its job.
FIRST: This product does what it says it does. The adapter will connect both the charger and the auxiliary cable to the iPhone jack.HOWEVER: I ran a few sound tests using external speakers connected through the auxiliary output, compared to Apple's included lightning-3.5mm adapter. There is a noticeable quality drop for this product. The sound is clearly missing clarity in the mids, and doesn't hit the deepest basses in the lows. It shouldn't be significant enough to bother a pedestrian user, but if you are looking for lossless fidelity, I would keep searching. I volunteer with sound engineering and I wouldn't use this adapter outside of personal use.ADDITIONALLY: When the adapter is disconnected from the iPhone, but retains connection to charging lightning cable and 3.5mm aux cord, the output (speakers,headphones) will receive buzzing at higher volumes.Overall a respectable product for its function, but not the perfect 5-star solution others are making it to be.

I was very happy with this initially as I can both charge my phone and listen to an audiobook in the car but with a recent IOS upgrade it has stopped working - “this accessory is not supported”. Very disappointing. I’m ticked off with Apple for being so restrictive.

Works, but has major flaws.
The product works great as an auxiliary cable, if you are not charging your device at the same time. When I want to charge my device and listen to music in my car this product causes some distortion/static. Now this is super noticeable in my soft music but when I play something fast paced you can still hear it, but not as much. I am not sure if this is true for other products like this, but this has been my experience with this particular one. Does the product work? Yes, but not without its flaws.

Shoddy product
It literally broke three hours after I received it. I plugged the cord in my phone, my phone slipped out of my hands and the piece that goes in the phone got stuck in my phone. I managed to get it out but this was obviously a waste of money and not worth it at all.

Device came out to be defective and incompatible.
It was very defective. The product did work, but when I connected it after a while a notification popped up on my phone saying “device could not be recognized” or whatever. So many times I had to take it out, plug it back in and sometimes even turn the headphone plug just to get it to work. It was a struggle. It would even be to a point where I could only hear with one ear, but if I used a different headphone jack, both ears would work. That’s how I know this item is glitchy. So overall, my experience with this transaction was negative.

Not worth it.
The product description is accurate however after 2 weeks of use the sound quality started to deteriorate. There’s a constant buzz and the adapter is very loose. Sometimes it either charges or play music which defeats the purpose. If you don’t have a phone stand in your car then don’t buy it because the adapter constantmy connects and disconnects which is very annoying and the silver color started to fade away which is not a big deal but over all buy a belkin or something better. This is just waste of money.

Works fine for audio, doesn't work with Square reader
Just got it so we'll see how it does in the long run but in the meantime is worth knowing that this does not work with a Square reader. There square app doesn't even acknowledge that the reader has been connected so if you use your phone for square, go with the official Apple adapter. That one works with square

When it works it works nice. But 25% of the time it doesn’t work ...
When it works it works nice. But 25% of the time it doesn’t work at all. Won’t charge nor play the music through the headset. It needs to work all the time. Worked fine for a couple weeks but after that you u never know if it’s gonna work or not.
