Does this work to tame the small fly away hairs at the temples which are very thin?

Sure....just lightly run fingers through with a small amount of the cream, and voila!

Does this product also heat protect?

Yes, it does. It’s a favourite of mine. I towel dry my hair and apply one pump in the center of my palm and rub my hands together for a second - and then rub it into my hair from about two inches from my scalp to the ends. Then I blow dry. It’s a great product. Best!

How is this supposed to be applied?

Distribute throughout damp hair. Blow dry or air dry. Can also be used throughout the day as a taming finisher.
