Hola, el M60 se puede conectar a una batería de coche de 12 V CC para alimentarlo.

Does it have to be plugged in or can it run on battery with no wires?

This unit requires 12v DC power to function. The unit comes with a cigarette lighter power plug and a hard wired plug used to directly connect to 12v power. Both of these connect to the rear of the unit which gets 12v power from the car. If you want to make the unit portable you can "plug" into a portable battery unit providing 12v power. So to answer your question directly, it needs to be plugged in 12v power to work. Your car 12v or a portable battery pack 12v. There is no internal battery for this unit.

I purchased this unit and noticed that after a few seconds. Turn off and also flicks on-off. I'm assuming this is not normal?

That's not normal, I have mine wired to my fuse box so it comes on when I start my pickup. I really like it.

How long is the unit suppossed to stay on after you turn the vehicle off? Mine stays on a long time.
