My daughter is 1 year old, and we were a bit hesitant on getting her a tablet at her age. We couldn't beat the price this brand new release, so we went ahead and got it, with expectations that we were going to hold on to it until she got a little older. Well, we gave it to her for Christmas to see how it would go. She really liked the visuals on the screen, she can take pictures by herself with it, and move to the "Music" part of the tablet - to which she dances lol.There is already a scratch on the screen from where my daughter tried using the stylus a little too rough. Can't really blame anyone else but myself, yet, such easily scratched?It's pretty much all parent-controlled and safe for kids to use and navigate on their own. The games, music, and video are all purchased and installed with parent's consent and password. Excellent way for children to get familiar with tablets

My kids had these for ages. Battery life was about 6 hours of straight play.Tablet quality itself was amazing. Very durable.It took about an hour to charge.Set up was as easy as 1,2,3.Sound quality was not the best but you could hear it clearly

SO FAR, my son loves this and it has been working great. I HIGHLY recommend getting a case and scratch proof screen cover when you order this, bc my son scratched the screen right away with the stylus. Not bad though, doesn't affect anything.We have 4 game cartridges and downloaded 2 from the app store. So far, they all work.We did have a hard tome connecting to WiFi bc our WiFi is ran on the higher speed or whatever it is. I had to go in and change a crew things via my computer, but its working beautifully now.My son (4yrs old) loves it, almost too much. I definitely have to use the parent control on it on how long he can play. It turns off automatically, and won't turn back on (unless you put in parent pass key) for the amount of time you set it for.Like I said, So far we love it. But we've only had it 3 days, so I'm still a little worried it'll suddenly stop working or charging. I'll update for sure, if that happens.

Kids love them and talk about durability... wow my son has dropped them so many times, I cringe but they work like a charm. I will add I have all of them in a case as well.

1. I got this March 14th and it is now March 21st. No issues. I read a lot of reviews of different models before ordering. A lot of reviews talked about how easy it was to scratch the screen up with the stylist stick so I ordered the screen protector before I got the Leapfrog. As soon as my 3 yr old opened it I put it on before he ever touched the screen. 0 scratches with the screen protector.2. Also the games are educational, it works on motor skills, numbers letters.If your child is a minor when you enter their info it will prompt you as the parent when to enter your information. Easy set up.3. An entire library of apps and games they try to get you to buy. You can if you want but I'm not interested. Theres always a catch.4. There so much to do without buying any extras inside of the tablet I haven't even looked into the add on cartridges yet.

This tablet has it's Pro's and Con's for sure:Pro's:-It's durable and 3-year-old tough. It's been dropped and thrown and not even a scratch!Con's:- There's limited storage. I made the mistake of buying cartridge games at first because another reviewer mentioned that there was limited storage, but my 3-year-old lost the games within the first week. Downloading is really my only option. So I purchase games/videos and have to uninstall others to make room for new ones. Then if he wants to play an old game, I have to uninstall another game and reinstall the older game. It's very time consuming.- You can't set the brightness or volume. You can turn them up/down, but once the system goes off, it starts again loud and bright.-When you plug the system in the charge, the whole system turns on. This is dumb and serves no purpose. What if I want to charge the system without drawing attention to it? So annoying!!!!

I love learning with LeapPad with my kids! I have a 2 and a half year old that I bought this for for Christmas. She absolutely loves it. My 7 year old also enjoys playing with it!The hardware is well made and durable for kids. She has dropped it a couple of times and it has been fine each time. It's easy to clean off with all the things little hands get into!I love that you can buy the LeapPad cartridge games, or buy the games in the app store right off of the device.We go out of town all the time to see family and this has lasted well charged on every trip.We love this LeapPad Ultimate and I would recommend to all my friends with kids!
