Roll-On Aluminum Free Deodorant, Reduce Body Odor, Refreshing Verbena, Eaves De Baux, Without Alcohol and Aluminum Salts, Made in France

I have been using this deodorant for several years now and I will never need another one. First of all it's a high quality product in it's make up and it's packaging. Alcohol free. Totally effective. It is not an anti-perspirant, which is a good thing. Personally I do not like anti-perspirants, they don't really work anyhow and it's just more chemicals absorbing into your body that you don't need. The smell of this is wood-like but not musky, almost sweet and caramel-esque too. But subtle, not abrasive or over the top. I receive compliments on it very often. Here is the wrinkle for most people I imagine, the $20 price tag. But let me point out something that not only justifies the price, but makes total sense of it. The stick lasts a long time. At least 6 weeks with daily use. So let's say $20 every 6 weeks for deodorant, ok, still a lot. But breaking down what I was spending on all natural sticks like Tom's of Maine, which are $7.99 each but last only a couple of weeks, in 6 weeks time I would go thru 3 sticks of the Tom's for a 6 week total of $22.97. $3 more than the one stick of Tom's that lasts the same amount of time. Plus this stuff works all day. With the Tom's I would have to reapply throughout the day as it just isn't that quality. So it is actually cheaper to get this than other sticks. But mostly I love the smell, it's perfectly subtle and rich at the same time. Earthy. Pretty great stuff. However, their Cidre is terrible. It smells like a high school locker room. Like axe body spray or something. I can't stand it. Stick to this one.

(*Update: A few weeks after daily use I noticed that the deodorant was changing my skin color. I assume this was the result of skin irritation from one or more of the ingredients. There was no pain or redness, just an unpleasant browning of the skin. After three days of no use it went away, but returned upon reapplication. So I've had to discontinue use. I assume this is an uncommon response as my skin is sensitive.) This is a great deodorant for those who are picky on texture, color, scent, and sensitivity. I've used a natural odeo deodorant for half a decade now, but lately its formula has failed to withstand regular exercise. I've looked for an alternative but my preferences are either a light masculine scent or no scent at all and I much prefer a deodorant that won't matte down underarm hair or leave sticky residue. Odeo was a scentless water based spray which was great. This deodorant, while it is a roll on scented stick, meets all my needs. The roll on is smooth, clear, and doesn't matte down underarm hair. The scent is masculine but subdued and doesn't fight my cologne (Monte Blanc Explorer). It actually compliments it well even though they are not equal scents. The scent is just a simple male scent. It does not lean young or old and is neither obnoxious or underwhelming. I can't quite express what it is, but suffice it to say it's all it needs to be as a deodorant, and that's enough for me. I've had no irritation and though I am new to using it, no regrets. I feel it is a good value for the product and will continue using it.

It really works. Best deodorant I have ever used. It has a light fresh scent, easy roll on, dries quickly, works for 24 hours (maybe longer though I haven’t tried it) and has no aluminum. Another great L’Occitane product!

What a great aroma ~ layered, complex, very slightly spicy, yet subtle. Just what we’ve come to expect from L’Occitane. This Amazon account is shared by a couple, and both of us, male and female, love it. Over the years, we’ve both tried countless non-aluminum based antiperspirants/ deodorants. Finally, an exceptionally pleasant deodorant that works. One of us, who shall remain nameless ;-) sweats profusely. Still can’t believe how well this aluminum-free deodorant works so far. All day long and such a great scent. We will update again if needed, but so far, a huge thumbs up from both of us!

The product is really nice and long lasting. The sun is refreshing and clean. When I re-ordered it Amazon sent me the “cedrat” scent which is also very nice. Many people probably won’t think that it’s worth $23 but I think it’s healthier to use the EU approved deodorant.

If you walk around my neighborhood you’d be forgiven for thinking you stumbled into a tent revival, complete with a full choir, gospel-esque and clapping their jubilant hands, eyes closed and smiles on every face, belting a gospel tinged ditty: “Oh my Lord, oh the power! (Oooh oooh ooooohhh lawdddddd) No more bathtime, no more shower! (Thank ya thank ya thank the lawddddddd)!” And Praise be! But! Not to He, nope! That choir isn’t a church choir, it’s just my kids and myself. And what the heck are we stomping and shouting and clapping about? It ain’t no old man in the sky or some handsome younger guy on a cross. It’s something better, its this blessed deodorant. Like Whoah. It honestly changed our lives. We used to bathe. Like, quite a bit. We USED to smell like animals after a few weeks of kicking the clean can down the road. But now??? IT’S BEEN SIX MONTHS. six months as a household and no stink. And so much sweat in that time!! And NO STINK!!! all thanks to this French product I cannot pronounce. Also saving us a fortune on our water bill (saving the world one day at a time). Get like me, don’t be afraid! No more baths, no more showers. Come on people, feel the power!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Smells good Deodorant quality: Not enough protection. If you’re active, this doesn’t offer enough smell blocking.
