This item is quite expensive but looks classy and enhances any Bedside Table, was going to buy a cheaper model but glad I opted for Braun as Display is very legible and dims beautifully in the dark. One time buy that will look good for many years to come, phone charging indicator also a very legible feature, would recommend without hesitation.

Just be aware that the battery is to preserve the settings when mains power is off. It doesn't run on battery when the charging pad is not required, when you just need the clock/alarm. It's plugged in all of the time drawing minimal power for the display, but kicking in with the charging capability when a phone is placed on the pad.A great display though, and a very useful charging pad by your bed. I have Do Not Disturb set up on my phone as otherwise, you get notifications throughout the night.

This is a digital alarm clock, easy to use and a great display and dims very well for low light. The wireless charging is absolutely useless. I tried to charge my iPhone and is starts to charge but drops out every time are a few minutes, with or without a case. This makes it a very expensive clock. Disappointing.

Finally settled on this one after scouring the market but not being able to find exactly the right thing. Having purchased very pleased and it does the simple things well and is of good appearance and quality.So the pros:Excellent display, large so can be viewed from anywhere in the room and the white on black looks really good.The self dimming feature is prefect, adjustable for night level and then full brightness in daytime and switches automatically (best feature for me).The alarm activation couldn't be easier, a simple press of the solid (not too big/small) button. The alarm time is displayed all the time even when not activated (not sure this was necessary but gives a reminder of what time is set) with a small green bell illuminating when the alarm is on.The charging pad works as described and being behind the clock panel keeps the phone neatly tucked away when in use.Just a few minor cons (with what it's sold to do):As other reviewers have noted the phone has to be positioned pretty much spot on the pad, if skewed it doesn't charge (but identifiable as the charging symbol on the display doesn't come on, but means you have to check each time you put it on the pad. Also the phone does get hotter than you'd expect after charging, even after a full night's charge when it must have reached full charge long before morning it's still pretty hot from the trickle charge keeping it full. Not noticed any impact on the battery performance though.There is only one single alarm, so you can't have a separate week and weekend setting, plus to change it via the up/down buttons it has to scroll right round the clock (not possible to set hours and minutes separately). So if you are changing regularly this would be quite annoying.Just a few minor cons (with what I really wanted):For the price and others on the market I'd have expected a radio controlled signal.Similarly no room temperatureDual alarm settings.Overall still very happy with the clock as it does what it says well with a great display and it's solid simplicity, but would have expected it to be a bit cheaper with the limited functions.

Love the fact you can change the brightness and don't like bright light in my bedroom at night.

Had it four weeks and the charge part stopped working and then four weeks later the clock keeps resetting for no reason

Our bedroom is very dark and most LED or phone app clocks are too bright for us. This Braun clock dims to a very low level and suits us well. It is nicely designed. The inductive charging works well. It’s not cheap but I rate it as a good buy.

I bought this because it is good quality and simple.I have been looking for a while as it was quite expensive and ended up buying discounted on Black Friday. Simple to use good brightness and good quality.
