I’ve had a base for quite a few years now & the original umbrella I had in it the pole was not wide, it was a 7 ft umbrella, The base did not have anything to keep the umbrella sturdy, except the screw on the side, I would put rocks, foam, anything to wedge the small pole to stay fit in the base, I didn’t realize they had these replacement kits until I came across this kit. I highly recommend, the rubber is really strong, and the replacement screw is as well, the kit includes a larger one and a smaller one, I had to use both & The smaller 7 foot umbrella fit perfectly!!
