Works perfectly!
This really updated the cars infotainment. It's really nice to get Android Auto and CarPlay in my 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth. It takes a few secs to connect, but not any longer than my Toyota Tacoma's factory radio and it's wireless, so I'm not fumbling around trying to plug it in. It looks OEM for sure. The sound on my 2012 Bose systems is GREATLY improved and the EQ makes a big difference.I installed the GPS antenna on top of the radio cage and it seems to be working fine and is invisible for the most part. The supplied adapters plug directly into the factory harness and the steering wheel controls work just as before. The only thing that doesn't have a home is the XM radio antenna. You have a white wire and a yellow wire - the white wire is for the AM/FM radio. Had to do a little research to find that!Everything is pretty instinctive except for 3 things.1. Time - the default region is 10hrs off. You'll have to go into the menu and set your time zone.2. Change Celsius to Farenheit - had to do a search for this on youtube, but if use keywords "Xtron Celsius to Farenheit," it gives a very simple explanation on what to do3. Flashing Odometer - this seems to happen to everyone. Again, this is an easy fix and can be found on youtube with key words "flashing odometer xtrons"My only criticism is the vent design. You will lose directionality and a little output, but even in the Texas spring it hasn't bothered me yet. I read a comment that you can use the OEM vents behind the unit, but I'm not sure ab out that and I'm not a fan of seening more clutter than needs to be there.

IT JUST WORKS (completely plug and play)
First of all, I was VERY skeptical buying this head unit due to the low price and the fact it is made (and shipped) from China.I have to say though, it has met my every expectation, and then some. I have a highly modified 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth and upgrading the stereo was never a priority for me, as I enjoyed the exhaust as my sound. Well, now I wanted to upgrade for the use of wireless Apple car play and navigation, and seamless voice commands through Siri for text messaging. This head unit is truly all in one and completely plug and play. No need to buy any adapters to make steering wheel controls work. This comes with a CANbus box that allows steering wheel controls to just work out of box. The previous review that mentioned the blinking odometer, yes, that happened to me too, but I was able to fix it by adjusting a setting on the head unit itself. When I first saw this head unit I thought “well how are you supposed to adjust the air vents”? Well, there is a little door on the top of the head unit (Nicely marked with 500) that opens and allows adjustment (see picture). This does not replace the OEM vents, it just fits flush over top of them. I wish I knew that as I had removed my air vents in anticipation for the head unit to arrive. Speaking of arrival, this is shipped via DHL from mainland China and they are very quick with shipping. There is a feature that tells you if you have your door or rear hatch open (see picture)The sound is great, better than stock. Most of the features like DVR and external keyboard I am likely never to use. I have not hooked up a back up camera yet, but that is on my “to do” list. For $289 this is an absolute steal. I will be updating this review in the future to report anything else that is of note.

What to know before installing an Xtrons PX in a 2015 Fiat 500e
-radio removal tools are included with the head unit, no need to purchase like I did. an external microphone is also included, but is substandard quality, you’ll want to get a better one.-doesn’t look like it’ll fit, but the original Fiat ducting and vertical fins from the vents can remain in car when head unit is installed. This is great news since the screen partially blocks the vents-I had to splice blue wire AMP CONT (from HU) to blue wire AMP-CON to give the amplifier 12v in order to hear audio from the speakers. until then, no sound.-none of the solutions for defeating the odometer blinking problem worked until firmware was upgraded (firmware which worked is dated April 1, 2025) after which the following settings worked for me:Canbus config:Common (0x117) (default)Car Control Settings: Car Type - Compatible, Model Settings - Model 1 (you may have to try one of the other two models)-last but not least there’s been intermittent high pitched audio interference (about 50% of the time) which turns out to be bluetooth interference. I disconnected and erased(forgot) bluetooth settings on both iphone and HU a half-dozen times (you can also temporarily stop interference by turning off bluetooth on iPhone, CarPlay will continue to work but bluetooth will have to be turned back on when you next start the car.) audio interference hasn’t returned for the last day so I’m cautiously optimistic this last issue has been put to bed.result: full carplay functionality, radio, and steering wheel functions are all working properly.
