What is the temperature resistance of this product, would this be suitable oxidation protection for a fire pit ring?

Can this be used on aluminum?

Yes, it can be used on aluminum. I called the company that made the aluminized steel culvert that I had installed in my driveway and asked them what I could use to cover some scrapes from the installation. They told me that the Crown 7007 Cold Galvanize Compound was what they used. It works very well.
