Good Choice for Older Two-Wire Millivolt Gas Wall Heater
This inexpensive thermostat is working well with my Cozy Heating Systems Gravity Wall Furnace, which uses a thermocouple/thermopile to produce a millivolt signal from the pilot light. Of course that means the thermostat is powered by only its two AA batteries, so its backlight stays on only a few seconds after a button is pressed. But that's an acceptable compromise for such a simple installation.I just installed it yesterday, so I don't know how often the AA batteries must be renewed. We'll see! I expect when the batteries are changed out, I'll have to set the thermostat's programs again, but that takes only a few minutes.I was disappointed that the thermostat's user guide doesn't discuss how to install it with millivolt systems, other than some passing references to the backlight limitation. But I figured it out.The furnace's original thermostat was connected to red and white wires from the thermopile. I unscrewed the wires from the original thermostat and straightened and trimmed the stripped ends a bit shorter. I connected the red wire to the Rh terminal of the new thermostat. (It came with a jumper wire across Rh and Rc, which I left in place.) I connected the white wire to the W terminal of the new thermostat. (Note that Rh and Rc do not stand for "Red," and W does not stand for "White." Those letters are from an HVAC convention that doesn't necessarily correspond to wire color. But it's a convenient coincidence.)I keep the new thermostat switched to "Heat," since I don't have air conditioning. I don't use the programs for much, since I don't keep a set daily schedule. I manually set the temperature as needed. I use the programs only to lower the set point to 45F a few times a day, for those occasions when I forget to lower it manually.I'd like to see the user guide include a wiring diagram for these two-wire systems. And I'd prefer a model that ONLY with these two-wire systems, just to simplify the display and controls, even if it cost the same. But I'm very happy to have found an inexpensive programmable thermostat that's so easy to install.

Two wire systems REQUIRE AAA batteries.
The instructions were ok, but nothing for a two wire system. After a few hours we realized it wasn't working. We had to go to the questions on the NON-programmable unit to discover that. The instructions should include that, and a diagram for it. Besides the lack of instructions for the two wire system, we are enjoying it. It seems to function accurately, which is why we replaced our old thermostat. It was a bit difficult to open. Look for the side tabs and then slightly squeeze the sides to get the cover off. Happy to be warm again.

Best bang for your buck thermostat
It works perf3ctly, was easy to install, is made with high quality materials, very accurate and easy to read. My only complaint it that the cover comes off too easily. I solved it by using a short piece of Scotch tape to prevent it.

These thermostats are great!
I bought two (2) as replacements for my old units. They plugged right in with little effort and started up. Everything has been running fine for the last 3-4 months. The green back-light is VERY handy at night. These are a super value given the price and options You can program M-F and Sat-Sun separately with four (4) different time periods per day. Programming is easy and these seem to stick to the schedule well. Go for it!

Worked fine at first
Installed along with a complete brand new system, and went back a week later to find the thermostat would not activate the furnace, even though the display indicated that the heat was on. Replaced with a new one, and system works fine

Device is good with 1 flaw; description is terrible!
It works well and was easy to install, but not to program! The manual says the backlight stays on for "approximately 30 seconds" after a button is touched. I timed it to be 6.2 seconds, hardly "approximately" 30 seconds! This was most annoying while trying to program it. Another setting is supposed to keep the backlight on continuously, but it doesn't work, even though I have the "C" terminal connected as required. The webpage description is terrible. It doesn't mention that there are additional controls hidden behind a movable cover and despite 6 pictures, none of them shows the cover open.

Works well, Easy to install
This is the second one I purchased for my other AC unit. It was easy to install, easy to adjust and the screen is easy to read. I waited a few months to review it in case there were issues. All is fine! Good value for money.

Easy installation, works great
Using as a millivolt thermostat for my gas fireplace. Easy installation, works great. The 2 AAA batteries provide plenty of juice to actuate the gas fireplace, way better than the old mercury switch thermostat it replaced which could be unreliable. For gas heat only 2-wire install just remove the jumper from Rh to Rc then connect white wire to W and red to Rh (and set switch inside to gas). I like that it has the program instructions inside the control cover so you don't have to hunt for the manual.

Great price, easy installation, great product!!
I searched and read the reviews of many different digital thermostats on Amazon.I chose this one and I'm glad I did. It comes at at a good price, it is programmable and it is very easy to install. I replaced a 2-wire (two wire) manual thermostat. Before buying and installing this new digital programmable thermostat, I first did a lot of reading about furnace thermostats and the related wiring configurations and what do to if you only have 2-wires (two wire) coming from your furnace to the thermostat. Yes, you have to use two AAA batteries to run this digital thermostat because of this - not a problem. After installing this thermostat, I basically used all the default factory settings in the configuration setup.Great price, easy installation, great product!!

Propane fireplace stove, works great
We had a mechanical thermostat that was worn out and replaced with this. It’s great, i programmed every night at midnight to drop the temp to 55, that way if someone forgets to turn it off the thermostat does it automatically. Easy to use, I’d buy it again.

Nice thermostat for the price.
Easy to install, I always wanted a backlit screen and this one is nice. I hooked it up to 24V supply and set display light to be on all the time.Only problem is the user manual is printed in very small font and page 18 which has all program/Menu choices, you need a magnifier to see properly. I did scan to print bigger, but font is not clean and still hard to read. I checked on Saswell web site and did not find digital manual. The wiring diagram page is also extremely hard to read.** Update Oct 27 2019 - Thermostat temperature not following the ambient temperature and when it starts furnace, it will not disconnect for 6 or 7 minutes and causes temperature to overshoot by several degrees. Maybe this unit is defective, but I decided to return it and go with Honeywell TH4110U2005/U T4 to save time.

Excellent value
Came on time and works well on a gas furnace radiant system .The manual is in tiny print so had to take a picture and zoom into it . It does not have the wiring diagram for a 2 wire system(most common here in my region) so I just guessed and hooked up White to W and black to B and it works well.
