Q: Why cant it be delivered to any of the addrrsses i put in at check out?

Just went through this. My guess is that you have an Ashley furniture in your area, and it is embargoed for sale. The EXACT item is 200 more at the store.

Q: Is the table surface smooth or grooved?

It is grooves kind of like composite wood but easy to clean. Everything else is solid wood

Q: Is the table top surface wood? Would it be prone to water stains?

Table top is wood, but we have not had any water stains. Absolutely love our beautiful dining room set.
