it works fine. I use it mostly for my cast iron ...
I use this every day, but i would not buy it again if I had to do it all over again. The first time I washed it (by hand) it developed some greenish tinted blotches which just keep spreading. I have had it for a couple of months and do use it a few times a day. As far as performance, it works fine. I use it mostly for my cast iron and I even flip an egg over in an 8 inch pan with no problems. I would prefer that the handle was not so flat (uncomfortable) and short. I would have given it more stars but I think because of the unattractive discoloring factor, it was way overpriced. I could have bought a cheaper one but the olive wood looks is the main reason I purchased this over bamboo etc. I wash it constantly, as I use it almost exclusively to prepare 3 meals a day and I always hand wash it with a plastic Dobie pad and hot water. I has not warped one bit, but I do see some weird bamboo looking pores, and even whitish blotching on the handle which I don't like. OVER PRICED

My favorite tool when sautéing
My favorite tool when sautéing... This has the perfect edge for scraping up bits of fond and the like when sautéing in a pan as well as stirring, mixing, etc. as they cook. I wouldn't recommend for flipping pancakes or eggs although I'm sure you could do that, but it is a bit too narrow and with a curve that wouldn't be ideal. But for sautéing vegetables, scraping up the fond, and cooking over a Dutch oven or saute pan, it is fantastic. I bought one, liked it so much that I bought a second, and haven't really done any maintenance like oiling or anything like that, just wash with soap and water, and they are both doing well over 6 months use so far.

Not like it used to be
Bought one a few years ago and LOVED it. Great, sturdy, large wooden spatula with a nice flat bottom edge (the edge that pushes the food around in the pan). Pretty too! Ordered another one because I loved it so much (always my first choice when selecting a wooden spatula). This one was small and the bottom edge was angled. Bring back the original design and I'l get another one.

Beautifully designed, nice addition to other spatulas
Great spatula for using in nonstick pans, and for mixing batters. High quality wood and nice finish.

Beautiful and Useable...
This Spatula is so beautiful I don't even want to use it! Yes, it is rather expensive... but it is safe to use and you can't put a price on not imparting chemicals from horrible plastic into your food. I am very happy with this spatula. The one I received was narrow and had a tapered edge... which seems to differ from the picture... but I am still happy with it for sure. It is very strong (I "lightly" tried bending it and could not). With proper care I expect to get a lifetime's use out of it.

Absolutely beautiful wood. The bamboo ones were laminated and were ...
Son and daughter-in-law gave up using splintering bamboo spatulas and pancake turners when I found these. Absolutely beautiful wood. The bamboo ones were laminated and were falling apart at the glued-wood seams. Yuk.I bought some for me and for my sister too. They are thin enough at the edge to get under a fried egg and flip it.

Great Spatula!
I recently got rid of all of my plastic ones because they were melting and caused me some concern. I bought several different wooden ones and this one is perfect! It's light weight, great for flipping this over and very durable! I have been using this spatula now for several years and it makes a perfect gift. The biggest reason for this one is the edge - it makes it easy to pick up food.

Nice quality wood
This is good quality, though I've discovered that I just prefer a wooden spoon to a wooden spatula, though there are times when it feels due to surface area that I really ought to be reaching for a spatula. However, I won't hold that again this tool - if you're looking for a wooden spatula, this one is good quality and is pretty.

Doesn't feel as one would hope
The quality of this is sadly just not up to scratch. The wood feels rough and very light not giving a nice feel in the hand. It's a bit hard to clean and just not up to the quality one would want from olive wood.

Sehr gute Handarbeit
