This product arrived on time and intact.Been using shikakai on my hair for almost 5 months. I was sick of commercial shampoo and conditioner and have been low poo since 2016. I finally went no poo after using shikakai October 2017.It’s ground very fine. I have very fine, long, and curly hair so I like to submerge my hair in the tub and massage the fine grains out of my hair. I rinse with the shower head. My hair is very clean, silky, and smooth, and shiny, and healthy! I only wash with shikakai 1-2x a week and my hair isn’t greasy in between.I am very happy with this product and will purchase more as needed. I have referred many of my friends to this product!If Merlion International is reading this review, I love your product and am so very happy to have found it. I reviewed many other options and decided to try yours. I do not regret my decision. To anyone else reading my review, don’t hesitate. You will love shikakai. There are different methods to use it on your hair. Go to the internet to find the right method for you!

In India where I grew up this is traditional replacement for Shampoo and I used this regularly back in India. I can clearly feel that this Brand is good and authentic.You can make paste by mixing Shkkakai Powder with water (only mix it for the amount you need for single bath). By applying mixed paste in scalp and massaging it you will get maximum benefit out of this product and thats the way it is traditionally used. It works wonderfully especially for a bath immediately after oil massage as it removes all the oil from body and hair perfectly and leave you skin and hair shiny. I tried Shampoo after oil bath and it does not even come close to ShikakaiI will add pictures soonPro:1) the packing is good2) From my experience it is authentic and pureCons:None

It got in my eye and it was very irritated and red I rinsed with cool water for about two minutes but it still was red and irritated it seems like there is a blind spot when looking out of that eye which is my lift eye and it keeps feeling like something is in my eye when there is nothing in there.Even though it’s not good to get the product in your eye I must say that the product did make my hair more easier to detangle and it felt stronger. If you can, have someone else apply it to your hair with you head held back so not to get in your eyes.

This is really powerful. I use on my natural hair to cleanse the build up. I don't follow the directions as it is really powerful and a little goes a long ways. I have extremely thick and medium length hair and use 1/2 scoop and water to make a paste. I recommend you cleanse scalp then remainder on your hair. It will make hair like straw but luxurious when you condition. Brought my super natural curls back. I thought it was the hard water and found it was the build up. I co-wash daily with conditioner and wash and go.

Someone else on here said not to get this stuff in your eyes. Maaaaannn, they ain’t never lied! I can’t believe people were wasting good product working this into a paste, but I guess it really depends on your hair. I kept mine pretty watery, which worked wonders for my fine curls — left my hair sooooo hydrated and paired so amazingly with my rice water and tea rinses + deep conditioner. No shampoo. Bruh. My hair loved this! But boy oh boy, that watery concoction dripped into my eyes and burned terribly! My eyes were red for two days afterward. I will still use this on my hair, but maybe I will use goggles next time.

My Shikakai powder itself is really good. My hair feels soft after cleansing my hair with it. However, the packaging has changed. You get a much, much, smaller quantity for the same price. I’m sad and disappointed. I will not be ordering this again from this seller. The quantity is so much more smaller than what it use to be, but the price is still the same. How does that make sense?

For long time i have dandruff problem, tried many products in market nothing worked out. Was searching for organic Shikakai powder and thought of giving a try . When i just open the box, fragrance it took me back to 1992 in India, where my mom used to prepare Shikakai in home by drying the ingredient in sun and making it to fine powered. After using for a month, dandruff reduced totally and hair is much smoother and silkier.

Great product for natural cleansing of hair. I make a paste with it and apply it to my roots while parting my hair into sections. I then leave it on for about 10 minutes then rinse out while massaging my scalp in the shower. Lastly I use an apply cider vinegar rinse. It makes my hair so shiny and strongg feeling (idk how else to describe it)
