Forget-Me-Not Blue Flower Round Resin Paperweight

I bought this as a gift. It looks beautiful and the recipient has enjoyed it. I wish the story of how it’s made was included in the box.

It was so beautiful! A dear friend is moving far away and I wanted to give her a special gift... she loved it!

Instead of sending a bouquet of flowers to my sister for the big 50, I ordered beautiful paperweight that will last. She loved it.

This does not look like the photo at all. Most of the flowers inside are missing petals. It’s hard to even tell they are forget me nots. It’s 90% stems and the flowers are much tinier than shown in the photo. I would not recommend this, especially for such a high cost.

Was worried the resin would look cheap. It looks just like glass. Perfect. Only wish the story was packaged with it about the making, as this is a gift.

Purchased this used from an auction site because the seller had showed photos of the actual item that they were selling — I did this because I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t going to randomly receive a brand new one that didn’t have a nice representation of the flowers. A reviewer had pointed out that the one they’d received was mostly stems and didn’t look like it was worth the price. If possible, I wanted to avoid having the same thing happening to me. Upon visiting the auction site, I could see how some looked good, while others didn’t, in terms of a lot of the petals on flowers missing, colors of the forget-me-nots (some had a mixture of blue and purple, others just blue, while others had faded colors), small amount of flowers in general, mostly stems seen than flowers, or stems looking too dried out than green.Although the one that I’d bought was used and has some minor scratches, I really wanted one that had a decent amount of flowers that looked well preserved, than a brand new one with zero scratches — but the flowers weren’t preserved well. On the auction site, I was able to purchase it as a “Buy it now” item for more than half off (at about $26 including shipping) and based on its overall condition and how the flowers look, I truly think it was worth it and beautiful — definitely, much better than expected!You may be lucky and get one brand new that looks great, but if you don’t want to pay full price (I can tell you from looking at the actual item in front of me, that the $58 price as of mid Jan. 2023 is expensive for what it is, as come on, unless you’re making bank, that’s way too much to pay for a paperweight), don’t mind it being used and/or you’d like to see photos of the actual item, first, then I’d highly recommend searching for these on an auction site, which will give you more options.
