Okay, I haven't actually tried the shoe on the foot that was operated on but my other foot and leg have been getting a battering during recovery. The surgical boot means that your legs are at different heights, and so your other leg has to tolerate a lot of extra workout. I have been wearing this shoe on my non affected foot and it has made a world of difference! The straps are elastic so it is easy to put on and off and means if I get any summer swelling they will still be able to get on. The sizing fits a little large but it is comfortable! I have a very wide foot so length will always be too long to accommodate the width, but this is one of the better fits I've had. The extra sizing I've given is because I'm happy with the give for swelling, but if you don't get that makes sure you measure your foot!! The sole is really soft. It compresses and returns with each step (more comfortable than my slippers!!!). They are also a little ticket in the sole meaning that I'm a little more similar to the surgical boot so it is easing the strain. I like that once my operated foot gets the shoe on it will give me a little more height without worrying about my ankles rolling. Overall, a great shoe!!!

I bought these after reading the reviews because with having arthritis in my feet along with tendinitis, these sounded like a perfect fit. I am SO pleased with my purchase! There is ZERO break in time, my feet still hurt, but not from the shoes (life). They do, however, make walking much easier. If you have any type of issues with your feet and are looking for a comfortable shoe, buy these! They fit nicely, and look great :)

After three attempts I finally got a size that works for me. Amazon said my size was a 9 based on data. It was way too long, and sent back. I ordered an 8M. The first picture is of the way the 8M fit. It was too tight and the sides of my feet were over the sandals edges. The second picture is of the 8W. I have never gotten wides before. My left foot is larger than my right so I need to fit it. I want these for travel. There have been times while traveling my feet swell so I don't want tight shoes. The 8 wide feels a bit loose, but I feel it will be better than tight. I like these because they are rubber and washable. That will be good for a places like Singapore and the Philippines where it is hot, humid, and often rainy. These feel like they will be good for walking in different conditions on long days of sightseeing. The color is what I expected.
