solid pen for the money -not as good as the $100 pens - but for $50 this is a great pen.
this is my second fountain pen - I have a waterman and just love it. this one is lighter and good but not like the waterman. so if you want a solid pen that doesn't jam and looks good this is it. if you want to pay 100 for the waterman the nib is just fire and smoother than this one. but I would reccomend this as it is a solid build. I bought a manual plunger and it didn't fit in well like the waterman either - I literally had to jam it in with so much force I thought I was going to break the pen. The waterman just slides in like butter. so if you are committed to a fountain pen and money is no issue I'd get a $100 pen -but for $50 this is a great pen also.... and if just starting out - try this. I got sailor waterproof ink which supposedly clogs the nibs but I have not had that issue ... so I am using waterproof ink and not having any issues - with the FC pen.

Smooth Writing
I’m a long time user of fountain pens. Too many are scratchy; the ink doesn’t flow smoothly. I absolutely love this pen!
