Dr. Martens Bonny Chukka Boot

I’m a 20 year old, 65 year old in a 31 year old’s body.I like to think I’m young at heart but old fashioned in the mind. I wear regular jeans and tee shirts and listen to a lot of oldies and classics.Recently I started the hunt to replace some Sketcher Bruisers that lasted a while. Sketchers seem to be really expensive so I expanded my search. A lot of everything I found was catered around the new era style of cuffing and pegging your pants. Thats not me.I ran across these Dr Martens. I’ve never had a pair of Dr Martens because they have always been expensive, but I have heard nothing but good things.With an attractive price and style, I decided to give them a shot.They came in the mail today, thanks Prime for always delivering!I immediately loved the look and the fit. I read to order a US10. I normally wear a 10.5.The boots fit perfect, they feel great and they look flawless. I love the material and the smooth stitching. The rubbery bottom seems to be great quality as well.I will update the review as I wear these boots. Hopefully they last throughout the winter and into spring. I feel like they would be good riding boots!

Usually bought my boots in a trailer parked on company property, buying boots with out trying them on is like buying a car without test driving or pre arranged marriage, risk vs reward ratio skeptical. This time the gambled paid, these docs are kind to my feet and made out of something you would see in ancient aliens, so baffling it blew the hosts hair out of his skull.. It repels paint and temperamental mother in law's. Like a fish with hook in mouth, went against my better judgement and order a half size bigger due to complaints, rationalized by putting inserts in if too, squash that, go with what you wear normally unless your feet change size, in that case may need some antibiotics and would check out web md instead of looking for boots. These boots are not made for typing..

I liked the fit and look of the boot (although it does run large), and it seemed to be well made. Unfortunately, within about six weeks, the sole had split on one boot and was deteriorating on the other, making them no longer waterproof at all on the bottom. When I reached out to Doc Marten's customer service, they had me send in pictures of the boots from all angles and then said that it was normal wear and tear. When I pressed them, they suggested I find a cobbler (which we don't really have in the post-WWII U.S.) and gave the name of a company that makes soles that are "close" in quality to their sole that cracked. I've never had non-slip shoes cost this much nor last this short of a time. I really wanted to like the boot and QC problems happen, but the fact that they wouldn't back it up was really disappointing. This will be my first and last pair of Docs.

First off, know going in that these are not your dad's Doc Martens. These are one of the many new imported nylon/synthetic styles DM has came out with in recent years. The sole is the original translucent amber gum with the yellow stitching. The upper is a thick weave nylon type material. My normal size is 11.5W. I got a Size 11 UK (Size 12 US) The boots fit well out of the box with no issue; they do not have much of a break in period - just wear them around a day or so before and you are golden. The only small thing I had to do was add get heel insert to give a little more comfort on the heel for long-term standing/walking. This was not required, but it does make them slightly more comfortable.These look great with a utility kilt, jeans, or shorts. I wore them at Dragoncon in Atlanta all weekend and got numerous compliments on how they looked.

Overall satisfied with the purchase and the product. I purchased these boots for some motorcycle riding utilization. I was primarily looking for some ankle protection, slip-resistant material on the footing, stitched seams, and durable quality material so my foot will not get wet if I step into any puddles that normal shoes will get soaked in. I can say with confidence that all my needs were met with this pair of boots. The only thing that I had an issue with was the size. Be advised that the size does run about half a size- a size bigger than the normal shoe you would wear... plus from the selection I saw they dont run in half sizes (10.5). I ordered an 11 because normal shoes I run in a 10.5. Too big. Return was easy and hassle free. I purchased a 10 and I still have comfortable room in case if I need to wear a pair of thicker socks to keep my feet warm during colder rides.

I normally wear a 10 or 10.5 wide, so I got the UK10/US11's... they fit perfectly. They need a little breaking in, but they are very comfortable and I've already gotten compliments on them. I waterproofed them, not that I plan on getting them wet, but you never know... it rains a lot in Florida. I hope these last me as long as my other docs. They could do with a little arch support so I might try to find some really nice insoles. For the sale price I got them at, these shoes are a steal! Recommend!

Love these boots, I’m 5ft3 and can’t really get away with wearing the regular dr martens but these are perfect for my little legs, I also don’t have overly wide feet but I do tend to struggle with some shoes, these didn’t squash or rub my feet, also quite roomy...My sister has these exact same boots that she bought from Schuh, me being paranoid that these might fake because they were literally sold out everywhere!! compared them, they were identical

Trully nice shoes, well Drawn, very pleasant to carry, really a very good purchase.I hope that they will be as resistant as my models, more standard, than I carry for years,even if I'm sure that they could be made somewhere else than in Thaï land !!Really happy with my new pair of shoes !

Bought these for my partner in a size 6. He absolutely loves them. Super comfortable and they look really nice. Easy to clean too! And durable!

Excellent boots that wont require much breaking in . Comfortable and yet strong , no need for hard leather uppers.
