I spent so much time looking at all these different musical instrument sets - I even ordered one of them. But when it came, I realized the xylophone sounded terrible and all the instruments were just so fragile and seemed like a choking hazard for my 1 year old, and like cheap party favors. Although the other sets come with so many more instruments (18! 25!) and that seems great, so many of them are the same idea basically. Plus your kid can only really play with one or two at a time anyways. I definitely want quality over quantity , and as my husband said, “are we buying toys or instruments?” This set is so worth it! The instruments are high quality, durable, and sound great. They’ve stood up to the abuse of a strong one year old hulk and she actually likes listening to them and will carefully play the xylophone. I definitely recommend this set, the backpack is super cute too and my daughter loves walking around with her instruments and backpack - it is too cute!

I babysit for a sweet little 15 month old toddler girl who loves to dance and sing, loves the muppets and has loads of toys to choose from. This set was my gift to her for Christmas, and seems to be her favorite. She especially loves the little finger symbols, and they fit her tiny hands just right. She looks like a wild, untamed version of beautiful Stevie Nicks shaking her tambourine while she whirls and dances around the living room with complete abandon. All the instruments are durable, safe for a young toddler, and provide hours of entertainment. She loves to dance, sing, and accompany her Dad, when he plays his guitar for her entertainment. Wonderful set, and everything can just be put back into the clear plastic carrying case for a fast clean-up after playtime. SUPER gift for young child!

The quality of this musical instrument set is really good, not only the material is good quality but the sounds are also very nice. It is very good to develop small kids' hearing ability or big kids' interest in music. My 3 year old daughter loves the Xylophone and the flute most ;) Overall the instruments are very sturdy except for the flute, which has a feeling like ceramic and might break when falling on hard floor. The backpack is very good for keeping the instrument in place or carrying out.

The xylophone is beautiful. I love the materials used, and it’s held up great so far. My 3 month old loves when we play it for her and my 2 year old loves playing it. I purchased this for both items as I was also looking for a quality harmonica. This one is just okay but I prefer Fender as this one requires more effort to make sound and doesn’t have that super clear quality sound. My 2 year old loves harmonics but doesn’t use this one because it’s hard to make it play.

This set is made better than most of the other sets on here. Nothing feels flimsy. I particularly like that the mallets are molded so I’m not worried about the end coming off & becoming a choking hazard. Egg shakers & the recorder are as good of quality as the ones I use with my students at school. I actually like the recorder better than the ones my students get at school because it is a two-piece instead of a one-piece instrument. Overall, a great set!

Nowadays, it seems like everything requires a battery. I was looking for a more traditional toy that was sturdy enough to hold up to my daughter. She often grabs this bag of instruments. There's more than enough instruments to share with. It brings me back to simpler times. Nostalgic, definitely. They are sturdy for playing and throwing, which a toddler is going to do whether we like it or not. Everything fits in the bag but you have to disassemble the flute in order for it to fit. I encourage others to make this purchase. It's definitely a good gift, as well.

Harmonica and Xylophone Toddler and Kindergartener approved. Each child loves both musical instruments. Harmonica makes perfect sounds, perfect pitch. The 2 year old toddler caught on in five minutes. Booklet is perfectly correct. I have studied music for many years. The theory and diagrams are sound. A great start. If you want a music book with many songs, purchase one from your local music store! They will be more than happy to help you on your musical journey. Xylophone provides perfect pitch, felt pads encourage proper tonal pitch. Recommend 10/10

My nearly-3-year-old loves her set of instruments. They're visually appealing and well made. The xylophone has very high-quality sound for a toy and the wood base does not splinter. Although the recorder isn't as good as my old elementary-school recorder, it's more solid than the dollar-store ones and makes a great "train whistle" for a child with hands too small to do proper finger positions anyway. We don't use the backpack for the instruments--it's too small for convenience or visibility--we just keep them in an open basket instead, no problem.
